Honest opinions on Orange Crosstreks

Hi! I’m about to be 16 and my parents got my first car. It’s a 2013 orange Subaru Crosstrek in really good condition. I love it, but I’m worried about what other people will think about the color. I’ve showed a few friends and they’ve said I am going to get made fun of for it, and I’m starting to second guess if it’s actually looks good or not. Please help!

EDIT: I understand that I am incredibly lucky and I’m so grateful for my family and what they do for me. I really just wanted to hear people’s opinions because of the negative feedback I’ve been getting from friends, that’s all.

2015 Crosstrek with zero issues ruined by Express Oil Change

Took my car into my local EO. Have been there before with zero issues. They drained the transmission instead of my oil and overfilled the oil. Fast forward a month of them having the car. They first ordered the wrong transmission and then finally installed a new one. I drove 10 miles down the highway and complete failure. I got it towed to the local Subaru dealer and they are fixing it. EO says they will pay for it but I retained a lawyer just in case they refuse. Just a friendly heads up and I will be changing my own oil from now on.

If hypothetically one dropped a quarter on the black part and it slid underneath the silver part, how would he get it out?

AT tire difference from stock

I have a 2025 crosstrek onyx with the stock tires (18" rims). I've been doing some more driving down dirt roads in my area and they can be somewhat rough. Wondering for those that switched from stock street tires to All Terrain how much of a difference in ride quality it made for offroad/soft roading? I've never driven a vehicle with AT tires so I'm curious if its worth the purchase.

Issue with the 2.0?

Hello All, I have a 2024 Crosstrek Premium that is about to get its 3rd engine and it is under 20k miles! Has been thoroughly serviced and maintained through the Subaru Dealership, all oil changes on time, 1st engine died around 6,575 miles, 2nd engine low oil light came on at 13,921 miles (since then 4 oil consumption test visits have confirmed it needs a new engine) Anyone else having problems getting the 2.0 to live past 7500 miles? I notice they no longer offer the 2.0 in the Crosstreks anymore

2019 6MT clutch pedal to the floor

Wondering if anyone’s experienced this and what their solution was. i was driving and my clutch pedal felt sticky and then after a full stop, the pedal went down and didn’t come up and it wouldn’t shift into gear AT ALLL (when the car is on. when it’s off it shifts fine) !! i’ve done some research and found a lot of people saying the master cylinder has an internal leak. i swapped out the clutch slave cylinder and the master cylinder, bled it w no luck. i will say however, during the bleeding process i do get pressure in the pedal but it still sticks to the floor. my crosstrek doesn’t have a clutch master cylinder and i found another cylinder at the clutch pedal itself but i can’t seem to find any info on it. i’m really just shooting in the dark here. if you’ve experienced this or have any suggestions or info, anything helps

Last time I filled it it was wrong also, it said like 230 miles to empty, and now I just filled again and it says this.

Shortly after purchasing a 2018 Crosstrek, the clips holding my rear bumper came off causing the bumper flap to catch under my tire causing some tearing to my bumper. It looks like replacing the bumper with a painted bumper is way out of my price range. I checked local dump yards and am not having any luck. Ebay wants to charge insane shipping fees. So, I am trying to find out if I can purchase a bumper that will not require any paint, and install it myself with some YouTube DIY guidance. I am 100% unexpierenced but open to learning. Will an unpainted bumper look stupid? I did a bunch of research but quickly felt like I was in over my head a bit. There isn't a ton of damage. Wondering if anyone can give me your thoughts on what you would do to keep the cost down but get it fixed. I am willing to spend some $ to get it back in good shape but want it to be reasonable. Attaching pics of the damage. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi all, I have a ‘22 Crosstrek limited. I was given this estimate and was wondering if this was the typical price. I can only do the air filters myself so that would bring it down to $763.15.

Wireless Charging

Have the 2026 hybrid limited. A month in and absolutely love it.

Anybody find wireless charging is very finicky?

My daughter's has a 2025 Kona and honestly same kind of experience.

Is there a trick to these things?

2025 Subaru sport with 16,000 miles high-pitched shrill squeak

I have a really loud grinding and squeaking sound coming from the back of the vehicle. I’m assuming it’s worn out brakes though 16,000 miles seems really short. Does anybody have any good recommendations on brakes and do you all find it necessary to change the rotors at the same time when the vehicle is less than a year old?

Head Gaskets or no?

I have a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek with the forbidden milk shake. Oil mixing with coolant. Below I’ll attach a photo of my coolant and another of the oil. Dealership states it’s the head gaskets. I know it’s common in older models but wanted to see what else could potentially be the issue. I know I’ve seen other possibilities other than head gaskets causing the mixing of coolant and oil. Just curious to hear other options and things to look at before diving in.

I have the intake and wiring harness pretty much out of the way ready to pull the engine.

Dealer has noted that my 2016 Crosstrek needs control arm bushings replaced for "splitting". Mix of photos here from them and also from when I went under the car to take photos. What I see is stress cracking on the exterior of the bushings.

How serious is this issue? Worst case scenario, if the bushing were to completely split, would I lose control of the vehicle?
