Anyone else here found out about Pattaya AFTER they got married?

I used to live in the west then moved to China after meeting a girl from there who I met back home. I've not been to Pattaya but I heard about it on a documentary about Thailand which I was watching as I was planning to go there.

Damn, after reading about it it looks like Elysium, heaven on earth if you're a guy (and hell if you're not careful). Is anyone else here on this sub in a committed relationship and have that part of them that wishes they could go for a week and have no stings casual fun but know they can't without either lying or causing a potential issue? Maybe you DO go? No judgement.

For context my relationship is good and my wife is loving, career focused, more open minded and understanding about sex, fantasies etc than your typical east Asian girl (who's not from Pattaya). Just not the point where she'd likely be ok with me going there. We don't have kids together although she has a daughter from a previous marriage and we don't own property together. We're late 30s and have been together for 6 years now.

Maybe this is that instinctual male urge for veriety that comes along in time. Sigh.

Nationalities at Beach Road?

I have encountered Thai, Laos, Cambodia and African FLs at Beach Road. Is there any other nationalities that I have missed? If anyone has asked this question before, I truly apologise. If not, I appreciate your replies.

Coming together of lonely hearts

This might be a warped perspective to some but it's interesting to me how many of the women are meet seem to be mirrors of the men they're receiving.

The stereotypical sad and lonely man just desperate for some love affection and human connection has it's exact opposite everywhere you go.

So many women here are looking for exactly that.

Maybe they're going about it the wrong way, but amidst the prostitution there's genuine and real connections being made, maybe fleeting and temporary but for the people involved they're meaningful.

Muay Thai - Pratumnak?

After Songkran I'll be in Patts ( Pratumnak) for 6 weeks, recall seeing a few Muay Thai gyms about there before.

I'm in pretty good shape but little to no MMA experience, would be interested in doing some classes in the mornings - anyone with experience got any recomendations or idea how much drop in sessions costs?

Any research online just shows polished tourist packages from the usual platforms, looking for something more real

honestly worth skimming through some of them really stand out 👀

if you’ve been around thailand for a bit you’ve probably heard people talk about miss grand thailand

it’s basically a national pageant where girls from each province show up and represent their area, and it’s way bigger here than most people expect

like it’s not just a small beauty contest. every year it pulls a ton of attention online and offline, people actually follow it, argue about results, pick favorites and all that

the contestants go pretty hard too. outfits, performances, social media presence, everything is part of it

and yeah if you win you pretty much blow up overnight. a lot of them go straight into tv, modeling, influencer stuff, you start seeing them everywhere

even if you’re not into pageants it’s kinda interesting to watch once just to see how seriously it’s taken here

below are the final winners from the competition

so the winner ended up being the girl representing chonburi where pattaya is

she’s been blowing up online lately not just because she won but because during her speech her dental piece popped out mid talk and it ended up making headlines everywhere lol

kinda wild moment but also made her even more memorable

so yeah who’s your pick out of the lineup bros 👀

Do you consider yourself an addict to this "hobby/lifestyle"?

I believe I am borderline.. but wouldn't say I have ruined my life or even close to it. At least not yet. I try to stick to a budget and quite scared of ruining myself financially/healthwise.

I take as many precautions and try to keep things "safe" but I also don't think I'm "normal". I can abstain if far away from it. But if it's readily available then I indulge.

But I do struggle to control the behavior and have urges, etc. And mostly want to design my entire life around this "hobby/lifestyle".

And you?

Just ignore this

Just ignore this

Guys, don’t dig into this. Seriously. Just don’t. This isn’t some Epstein case or classified files. You’re not ready for this. You really don’t want to go there. You will regret it. Just close this and forget you ever saw it. I know this will make you more curious, but I’m warning you — stop. Some things are better left alone. You won’t find anything anyway.
