GM is just relatively good and it's still far from human limits.

Valorant player Movement makes me LOSE MY MIND (and it's unbearable) .

So, this scenario mirrors Valorant movement 1:1 (b00n’s physics), and I keep getting caught on counter-strafes and long strafes.

That’s good because it exposes my issues, but I can’t isolate them beyond “everything sucks" because I don't know what I'm looking at here.

Coming from TF2/Quake, my instinct is to track the opposite direction when they stop, then micro-flick back. But as you can see, I lose them in my crosshair.

Also, pure tracking is fine, but clicking while tracking makes me trail slightly behind every time, which I can't seem to shake no matter what.

So where do I even start beyond “just play more”?

u/ActuatorOutside5256 — 3 hours ago

How and Where do I even start without feeling overwhelmed?

Do I start studying the terminology first? Buy kovaks? Decide on a game to main? Buy a mouse and mousepad? Is anything free?

How should I start if I want to learn the fundamentals of aiming and how can I refine those fundamentals? Is it like basketball where the goal is to just put ball in basket, but there’s roles and fine tuned mechanics as well as rules?

Am I over complicating everything?

actually, i’ve been improving a lot since I started training on KovaaK’s. i still need to adjust a few things, like my strafe tracking, which is still a bit shaky sometimes, if anyone has good scenarios for that, I’d really appreciate it :)

if you guys can help me i start posting on youtube, i'll appreciate your help ♥ @krkndropp server that i take the clips on Arma Reforger was on South America Server BR

30 Days into Aim Training: Silver to Platinum Complete!

Happy to share my progression so far! I was tired of chat making fun of my aim, and I genuinely wanted to improve, so I started aim training.

Given that I have to manage multiple IRL responsibilities, I can only do 45 min per day on average. So I divided VDIM and do only part of it every day. And I usually split that chunk into 2 or even 3 parts done at different times in one day, which is really helpful in completing runs allocated for each day.

Images 1 and 3 are VT S5 and Viscose Intermediate now. Image 2 is VT S4, done on the first day of the aim training, but only 1 run each so not really representative. I think I started from Gold incomplete.

I have ~4000 hours of play time in FPS games, mostly Apex Legends (~2000h), Overwatch (~1000h), and some CS2 and The Finals (~400h respectively). So I'm quite content with this improvement speed, well except for static clicking.

Starting from last week, I added 10 runs of 1w3ts and its variants per day, 5 days a week, but the improvement is still subtle. It could be related to the gear I use: Skypad, GPW Superlight 2, and a sports sleeve to reduce friction of my arm and wrist.

I also recorded my platinum run on 1w3ts:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MA2makLyI5I. Forget that ending; I was super excited so I made that ending. From this VOD, I think my issue lies mainly in inconsistency; in all 3 movements, my flick speed, adjustment accuracy, and visual confirmation time are all unstable. Will playing more fix that?

Vertical tracking is also an issue for me, especially bouncing movement. And it is also interesting that KovaaK's is my most played FPS game in the past 2 weeks; the time allocation for KovaaK's and other FPS games is like 50/50.

Also would like to share 2 things that I did which gave me an instant performance boost:

  1. Changing mouse skates! Mine hadn't been changed for over a year. I realized this and replaced them on the 15th day of training, which immediately pushed my tracking and switching scores to Platinum, with even a single Diamond run.

  2. Using a sports sleeve. I tried Wallhack's and Pulsar's, but neither felt right. I just picked up a random sports sleeve and it works like a charm. It’s a huge improvement, especially for vertical movements and large horizontal flicks.

They are not lying about the gold to plat jump

Does aim carry you more in Marvel Rivals or in Overwatch?

Lets say youre master complete in voltaic and you try to grind either games ranked system without getting too deep into the positioning and macro part of each game, Which game would treat you better?

Assuming you play hitscan dps in both.

Tension control training methods

Hey guys, I’m working on my technique and it’s become clear that I can’t progress farther without addressing my inability to control my ramping tension in my fingers/wrist/hand.

I’ve tried to look myself for practice methods to help work on it but every resource that comes up seems more interested in ether explaining the concept or explaining why you should use tension intentionally.

I’m all for that but I can’t start to do that before I learn to stop my arm from locking up half way through every scenario.

I’ve been running a few scenarios with my focus being on staying loose but if anyone has a better way to go about it I’m all ears.

Posture for arm movement

Do you normally sit so high, that the elbow is just on table height, when having the upper arm just next to your torso?

OR Sit lower so feet touch ground and spread out the upper arm a bit to the side?

I feel like i can move more free with Option one, but its uncomfortable as my feet are off the ground. My table is normal height for an office table.

What is the considered the "norm"?

Would quake help with aim?

I want to buy quake live because I heard it’s a fun fps shooter and you can improve your tracking very good by playing it. It would be a more „fun“ way to train you’re aim tbh. Let me know what y’all think

First time viscose benchmarks

Hi everyone, I bought Kovaaks today just for the viscose benchmarks and these are my first attempts at the medium ones. I just hit ascendant complete on the voltaic valorant benchmarks today with 300 hrs total on aimlabs. These are my first attempt on each one, no retries except the top one because my settings were not right. Should I just continue on intermediate or go to the easier ones first? Thank you.

Any arm sleeve recommendations.

I'm currently looking for a gaming arm sleeve because my hand sticks on my desk and becomes sweaty in the summer. I'm using claw grip and my mousepad is zowie SR III. I'm not specifically looking for glove type sleeves because my palm doesn't stick to the mousepad.

Need help with smoothness

Hey, I've experienced this problem for a while now, I feel like i'm shaky as hell on any scenario that forces me to make small movements, either adjustments or tracking.
I feel like this is stagnating my improvement alot, I pretty much haven't seem improvements for the last 2 weeks.

I added a video to showcase my problem, though I don't think the 30fps video showcases the tiny jitters that well.

Additional info:
sens: 35cm/360
practicing for deadlock

Would appreciate feedback or anything else you've noticed that could be improved upon! Thanks alot!

Fresh DIY Grips Cutout For VXE R1 PRO!

I found a picture of the grips and measured them on my screen and then the physical mouse itself and then I used some tape to attach the paper onto the screen and drew the grips in a dark room. I then cut out the drawn grips from the paper and pasted them on the peel-off sticker behind the DIY grip sheet using glue and waited for it to dry.

I then proceeded to cut the DIY grip sheet according to the shape of the paper pasted onto it's back. When Finished, I peeled off the paper and the peel-off sticker of the sheet itself and then I pasted the cutouts onto my VXE R1 PRO.

to make it a little different from my previous grips I've made the same way, I even cut out a rectangle on the ring and pinky ringer area so the logo of the "VXE R1 PRO" is visible. it's not the cleanest because I used a simple pair of scissors and a cutting pen so I guess it did the job. Did it pretty well I would say.

The reason I use these Chinese DIY Grips is because they barely cost a dollar and work way better than any expensive thin grips that don't do absolutely anything when my hands get sweaty. But with these ones, they're pretty much always really grippy and somewhat even a bit sticky too. Heck, they're still sticky on my Haste 2 Wired that I've used for almost a year now.

Only 1 gram was added to the already 50 grams of this mouse so I didn't notice anything much, if anything it feels hell of a lot grippier, stable and more rigid than before, and the coating covered by these grips stays safer for longer so it's a win win.
