Istg everytime I see her all I can think is "that's literally just Cherri if she was a furry and had two eyes"
Who tf even is she?? I keep seeing people talk about her and saying they hope she shows up in the show, but I only saw her once in the pilot as a dang bg character and I've never heard Viv or anyone talk about her 😭
I honestly hope she doesn't get added. She looks cute but her personality seems like she'd be annoying. Also she looks similar to Loona being furry bait, and more furry bait is the last thing we need added to the Hellaverse.

It always comes off as off putting to me as a Christian how a Bible figure like Adam who genuinely made mistakes but ultimately shown himself in folklore to make it to heaven and was devastated by Abel's death by Cain. However, they decided since Viv had a hate boner for the Bible version of Adam to make him into a demonized frat boy who is a sex addict and hates Abel, even though it makes no sense since his death was because of jealousy from his older brother. Meanwhile, Lucifer gets the draco in leather pants treatment where he's treated as a misunderstood dreamer who just wanted the best of humanity and is treated like this uwu baby who no one in heaven understood. This ignoring Lucifer caused sinner to corrupt humanity, never takes responsibilities for his actions and then victim blames humanity for misusing his gift when he was told it was a bad idea, is a serial homewrecker who gloats about stealing both of Adam's wives, and created a caste system in hell the exploits the lower classes like imps and hellhounds. But yeah, we are supposed to think Lucifer suffered so much and is a victim of a so-called unfair system in hell. Also making Adam into a one dimensional pos is just to try to avoid the fact this man screwed him over by having him get kicked out of paradise, corrupted his offspring, forced to suffer in the world protecting his family, and being forced to fight against the animal companions he had. When you think the Bible background of Adam and what Lucifer put him through it's less cathartic and more of a person being beat up by their past bully who the narrative sides with. Also the series wants us to think Adam is this gross dude bro but cheer when Lucifer boasts about sleeping with both of Adam's wives like that's a good thing. It again shows that despite the series claiming nuances it actually just takes biased sides to favored characters. Adam who you think deserves nuanced complex, tragic characterization is just a strawman so it's easier to side with Charlie, while Lucifer who is meant to come off as tragic is much more worse when you think about other factors like what we have seen in hell and the shit Adam had to go through when he was kicked out of the garden.

When you think you're cooking, but in reality you're being cooked
lucifer slander time, I need to let the hatred out, thus this magnum opus. It's gonna be long af though and I'm not expecting anyone to read it, but it needs to be done
Viv tries to coddle the shit out of this ugly fuckass, ignoring the fact that her own worldbuilding made him an objectively evil person.
Let's start with the "gift of free will". A dude told he's a troublemaker and needs to stand back decides to not stand back, break Heaven's rules and mess with humanity, cause he knows better. Surely this act of disobedience by a high angel won't disrupt balance in the forces in good and evil, right?
And what is that "gift" anyway? A power to deny your toxic husband? Oh wait Lilith already did it. Maybe instead it was for making humanity see the prideful asshole as their savior and cherish him? lucifer gives the vibe of a "you're not the child I wanted" parent, who is mad that their kid is not a miniaturized version of them, and an own person instead.
When you think about it, giving a sentient race free will isn't evil by itself. However, trying to change them out of your own pride (and remember, lucifer is the deadly sin of pride) can be now, hence why Earth got "corrupted".
But anyway, dude gets (rightfully) exiled from Heaven and even that is a joke, for he keeps most of his powers. Oh wait, he can't kill Sinners (people whom HE DOOMED) now. So awful poor luci :(
Anyway, he's the king of Hell, and what he does? Puts the deadly sins in line so Hell isn't a racist monarchy built on exploitation and abuse of "lower" classes? Naaaaaaaah, he just adds a privileged and mostly racist caste of his own, and fucks off again.
And here is something Viv is unaware of, or unwilling to admit: all inequality-caused shit we see in Helluva is caused, or at least allowed, by lucifer. He ALLOWS hellhounds to be treated as animals, imps to be abused, thrown around and lowkey enslaved. When Blitz yells at the deadly sins, that fucker should be there - but he would probably just start yapping about his awesomeness (more of that later).
And next, again, sinners. He hates them, he makes no effort on trying to connect with them, to understand them. People don't become "evil" just because, it's because evil has been in their lives and they needed to adjust to survive. If he actually gaf and talked to them - like Sir Pentious - maybe he'd understand. Not only that, he allows exterminations (probably jealous of Adam and Exorcists), and when his daughter tries to save them, he discourages her. First thing he does after coming to her Hotel is a) criticising b) yapping about his awesomeness c) shitting on a person that's been actually there (for he has no other basis for bond with his daughter). btw if my father made a "joke" about eating my friend, I'd kick him out
And no, he didn't change. He can't be bothered to learn the Hotel gang's names - his daughter's CHOSEN FAMILY names. As we see in Vox Populi he still thinks lowly of sinners, and yeah, I think he was honest here. (I hate him for Vox Populi cause Jeremy's singing is fucking awesome, but the lyrics are the worst person claiming he's the best). He's only pretending to care now because of Charlie, and even that isn't too important for him, he cares more about showing he's better than Alastor as we know.
Speaking of the deer, out of all things mocking for him being hurt defending his daughter's place is fucking vile. Alastor at least was there from the beginning and didn't join in after people started dying. Also, is Pentious' death also so funny to this blonde asshole?
Now, his songs. In like, half of them he yaps about how awesome he is. Dude damned mankind, created Hell, allows borderline torture of countless Hellborn and still acts he's the shit. Like wow, there is a reason this dude is the deadly sin of pride. He breaks the rules, brings countless suffering by it, blames his victims - people he damned - and Heaven (who tried to keep things under control), and acts like he's the victim here and is the coolest person? on the top of that, he didn't do shit to gain this power, he was just given it by birth, and yet thinks he's awesome because of it. look at me, I'm elon musk, I worked so hard my entire life [only supported by my daddy who happens to own an emerald mine]
Look, I can't stand Vox neither, but seeing him humiliate and then torture lucifer was joy for me, and I cheered for the TV face. I wish lucifer fucking exploded alongside that weapon and never returned.
And here's a bit personal, but I hate excusing him with "he is depressed/he is autistic". Unfortunately I'm both those things and
a) being autistic and understanding the world is hard (varies for various people, for autism is a spectrum), but you need to learn how it works and adjust for your own good - and those of your loved ones. it won't bend for you. it's hard, cruel sometimes, you can try going your own way, but I sincerely don't think it will end well.
b) depression excuse is even worse, cause no, it's not the get out of jail card for abuse and yes, neglect is abuse. Being depressed doesn't mean you can sit in your home whole day and make ducks while thousands? millions? of people suffer, despite you having the power to stop that. I have pets, and even at my worst when I didn't feel like getting out of bed I did, because they need me, they need to be fed, cleaned and given affection. This is my responsibility, my suffering doesn't take that away. You can say that lucifer didn't ask for this responsibility and while it's fair, the Hellborn didn't ask to be their neither, nor to have a bum for a king. Moreover, if he's upset because of how awful Hells is - why not make it a better place? If not for sinners, then at least for the Hellborn?
I'm no psychologist here, so I may be wrong, but I think that making an almighty dude get away with causing suffering by neglect because depression is giving a bad example because no, you deserve help, you need help, but you can't let your own pain cause hurt to others.
Also, if we were to excuse his actions with mental disorders then I assume other disorders can also be used as excuses? Alastor is a psychopath, psychopathy/ASPD is a disorder so he is allowed to kill people, yes? (something he wouldn't be doing if lucifer didn't doom humanity btw)
(don't worry it's almost over if you're actually reading this)
Another thing is that lucifer is a fucking idiot. No, really, he is so incredibly dumb that I wonder why Heaven would even make an idiot angel. He yaps in front of public about how he can punish demons well knowing he can't, he walks into a huge X in a trap, and then when Vox, a sinner that made it clear lucifer can't harm sinners, in front of all of Hell as well, reminds him he can't hurt sinners
lucifer blames fucking Alastor for Vox knowing??? Despite that being made publicly known a few episodes ago? How stupid can you be? Also him not knowing how bad his situation is, it would hurt to watch but well he was being hurt so it was enjoyable still.
And lastly. He is fucking ugly. Viv cooked with many designs, apparently she said that was the only one she wanted hot. Except he is not. He is atrociously, disgustingly, ugly, his physical shell matches his rotten, filthy inside. His hair his ass, his clothing is ass, his face is ass (actually maybe literally and his actual face is at his bottom. Would explain a lot). I'd rather look at the couch, slime and lamp demons than at this abomination. Which is kinda funny cause Charlie's design is actually pleasant lmao
I am not the biggest fan of "Lilith is evil" plot, I want her to be sympathetic and not a Stella 2.0, but if they go with it then the one good thing is that she may kill this fucker, making the world (or, Hell?) a better place. And I will celebrate.

The fandom wants to defend the characterization of Val as deep, nuanced, and well written because they make him turn from the monster he was portrayed in Season One to this goofball villain who is treated as a lovable himbo they like sexualizing in their merchandise and giving silly quirks to laugh at. However, it is jarring because he's supposed to represent him as a rapist who has broken and manipulated Angel into being his toy, but at the same time we are supposed to feel sorry when he longs for Vox and they joke he doesn't know what consent is. I have seen tons of threads where people justify this as giving him depth when in reality it just a bunch of traits that don't fit together because they have softened on him and want the audience to make him seem like he's a lovable guy. They treat his rapist status as a quirk especially within that montage or in merchandise. And frankly it shows how they are not really treating his status as a rapist as seriously as they should. They say that if he was a rapist who thinks about rape all the time that would make him one note, but at the same time all they seem to talk about when in regards to him is how sad it is Vox ignores him, how tragic his past must be to be this way, or talk about his forced funny moments. All these moments just makes us forget his status as a rapist and ironically focus less how his actions affect his victims (especially Angel) and rather try to push himself as this figure we emphasize with. The people who defend this characterization as humanization at the end of the day they are emphasizing with a rapist who reeks of no moral weight to cry about being used and unloved when he's done the same thing to many people over the decades. It's also unnerving how the characterization put in the show also lets people downplay how much of a monster he is by saying his actions aren't as bad as everyone else's which is just showing how much the softening using those moments make people forget what Val should actually be portrayed as. The defenders say that wanting Val to be treated as a monster is harmful to victims when in reality I think him not being seen as a monster is making people too comfortable to the fact that they even think he tried to protect Angel sincerely from Vox. Also making him stupid really doesn't make sense how he was able to run anything or get people like Angel to sign to him. You need to be someone who can put on a faux charm in order to get people and the series version of him doesn't even have that. He only has that gas stuff but even that isn't enough. The idea all this mismatched inconsistently makes him human in their eyes really is more of how oblivious people are to actual abusers especially when abuse victims are coming out saying the portrayal of Val is tone deaf and cares more about getting off the abuser rather than actually focusing on the fact that he is a horrible person.

Yesterday was pretty heatly debated with people both on Stolas and Vox's side. It's a tough call but the most upvoted comment was on Stolas' side so he probably edges out.
This time we got another Vee, this time stepping up to the entirely of Earth's lead anti-demon organization. Who wins: Influencer or Pope Army?
May the best Agenda win!!
