Song is Distain by Smell Like A Girl

My band released an album recently and while most of is very rhcp inspired, this song in particular was made with the idea of a sublime instrumental meets gorillaz vocals. Would love y’all’s opinion!

The rest are squires and one weird tele copy. My biggest guitar Inspos are def John frusciante hillel Slovak Hendrix Eddie hazel (funkadelic) Leroy sugarfoot Bonner (Ohio players) Johnny thunders(more his work with the dolls) early modest mouse Isaac Brock, stuff like that. Anyways I’ve only started really playing funk guitar in what I’d say the past few months. Would love to hear yalls advice and opinions! These 3 snippets are from my bands recent record(I also am playing bass on here too so tips for that are also appreciated!)

Something about these Japanese fenders.

These videos are two of our more “grunge” sounding songs. I’d say our biggest grunge inspos are sonic youth(I know not Seattle) mudhoney, babes in toyland, stp(I know not Seattle), meatpuppets, Pearl Jam, rhcp(not even grunge but 90s alt rock) pixies stuff like that!

New York dolls, the heartbreakers, Johnny thunders, butthole surfers, agent orange are some of our biggest influences! Some pop punk bands like descendants, old my chem, early panic and fob are also big influences of ours! Thank you for listening! Any feedback is much appreciated!

I was just wondering what guitar amp frontal lobe is based on?! I imagine the clean guitar amp is a fender reverb or something to that effect. I can’t find anything online about it. Thank you!

Is 2d really 6’2? I know phase 1 was much more cartoon style and the exaggerated legs was part of the Cartoon Network vibe of the art. However it still made sense in my opinion height wise. Later on whenever we see 2d next to murdoc(5’7) they are around the same height. Obv they took a more realistic approach to the art, and I know murdoc has his Cuban heels but still seems like 6’2 is a bit tall. I’m def over analyzing lol but was curious what people thought.
