-1 is 7"

-2 is CDs

-3 is tapes

-4-7 are 12"

-8 is my collection when I first posted.

I've always considered grindcore to be more punk than metal so that's why it's here.

What are your favorite all-female punk bands?

I don’t know many besides the classics and I’d love to discover more.

To be fair that sampler grew legs and disappeared many years ago

25 Years Ago Today: Alkaline Trio Releases "From Here To Infirmary"

Alkaline Trio released their third studio full length on April 3rd, 2001 - 25 years ago today!

Having outgrown Asian Man Records, this was their first release on Vagrant. Recorded at Pachyderm in Cannon Falls, MN and engineered by Jerry Finn, FHTI was an intentional stab at a more melodic approach.

In Dan's words:  "From Here to Infirmary definitely started to shape things up with more of a straight up rock kind of sound. I think the previous two albums are really great, but are a bit meandering. I think [From Here to Infirmary] is when Matt [Skiba] and I both realized that we wanted to tighten the screws a bit, simplify things a little and focus more on punching you in the nuts with our rock"

This album also features Mike Felumlee (Smoking Popes) on drums. He would ultimately be replaced by Derek Grant (The Suicide Machines), after fill-ins from Pete Parada (Face to Face) and Atom Willard (Rocket from the Crypt).

Do you have a favorite track? Any cool A3 memories?

Do you have a guilty pleasure punk group?

is there any band/singer that you can admit you still like/love even though they might be shitty people, or have shitty politics attached to them?

for me, as a gay man, I admit I still love Anti Nowhere League, despite the fact they have one of the most homophobic songs I've ever heard, I still have a soft spot for. they're one of the first punk bands I got into when I was a young lad, so maybe it's misplaced sentiment, but that'd be my guilty pleasure.

I'm curious if anyone has anything similar

Dead to Me (with Billy Liar and Brendan Kelly)

3 shows in the UK, managed to catch them last night at the Rough Trade in Bristol.

Unbelievable set, entered my top 3 best gigs. Tiny venue, about 200 people capacity, intimate, noisy, sweaty, just incredible.

Managed to get a few words and a handshake from Brendan Kelly (of the Lawrence Arms) after the gig, they say don't meet your heroes but he was charming, warm, and funny as hell.

I hadn't heard any Billy Liar before the gig but he was ferocious - a Scottish folk punk artist. Covered Rancid's Olympia WA which was amazing. Well worth checking out if your into the folk punk scene. Heentioned he's done some work recently with Frank Turner.

Brendan Kelly was amazing. Did some Lawrence Arms and Falcon stuff.

Great punk in the UK seems to be few and far between, but this was well worth the wait.

Questions for NYC old heads [Looking for a 2000s street photographer]

There was someone in Manhattan in the very early 2000s (prob 90s too) who would photograph all kids of extreme looking / diy kids

"For a magazine" as he would always say.

But no one i know ever saw the magazine or exchanged phone numbers/ email addresses. Have no idea what it was called. Me and my friends each got approached and photographed by him separately

Usually in west village

The youtuber whang even mentioned experiencing this in one of his videos. I know there were probably multiple guys doing this but he would ALWAYS say "can i photograph you for a magazine?" So there's something distinct there at least.

Dying to see the archive if anyone knows who this is and how to view.

What records do you wish would come back in print or wish you could find and can't?

okay ladies and gents, what say you? I'm curious what you can't find or wish would come back or the label is gone and they're is no hope of it, etc. I'm also including high priced used vinyl not just never pressed.

I'm going through my collection now and have also been digging for stuff.

a few for me:

Banner Pilot - Collapser

No Knife - Fire in the City of Automatons

Diesel Boy - Sofa King Cool
