We need AI labels on Spotify and Apple Music

Since the start of 2026, the music world has changed
AI Music has now made up at least 28% up to 40% of daily uploads onto these platforms, and a decent chunk belongs to people pushing out AI music solely for profit over any form of creativity

With the addition of Spotify "carefully" labeling real musicians who do not use AI Generation, their requirements have left many musicians who don’t use any AI Generation and just below this requirement in the dust.

I feel that two additions to both of these platforms will let users / listeners who use these music platforms daily be able to fully understand in a complete transparent way on WHO they are listening to and WHAT they are listening to.

If there is enough evidence to show that the artist on this platform is AI Generated and not a real-life musician, it should have an "May Contain AI Generation" label on the artist profile itself, similar to how Spotify now has "Verified By Spotify" so the listener understands that the person behind the songs they are listening to with full transparency.
If there is enough evidence to show that the song on this platform is AI Generated, it should be listed next to the artist name on these platforms with "May Contain AI Generation", so if a listener finds the song on a "Mix" or a "Radio" they are listening to, they are able to view that the song could have AI Generation involved with it.
Considering that both of these platforms have allowed AI Generated Music to be put on the platform and have started to implement a crude method to verify musicians who don’t use AI at all, we need to at least have full transparency that the track was either made by a real human or made by an AI or an Hybrid AI/Human track

Pavement

From lofi Indy to pure grunge Alt Rock glory to every offshoot 90s rock had to offer this band is imo THE ultimate most efficient and wideranging soundtrack to the 90s from Nevermind to 99 and the clever witty lyrics/delivery never cease. Show me a word that rhymes with Pavement and I will kill your parents and roast them on a spik.

Best song from "Tiny Music… Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop" or maybe from their entire discography. I'm listening this song for almost 1 week every day it's just mind-blowing.

9 years ago today we lost Chris 💔💔💔

It’s hard to put Into words how I feel about this day because I’ve only been a Soundgarden fan for a few years but I remember hearing about his passing on the radio and hearing about how he lost his life the way he did,It sometimes makes me feel uncomfortable when I think about my favourite musicians who have passed on because they were once on this earth and they Interacted with other people who are still alive today.
I think what’s even more freaky Is that Chris passed away just an hour after coming off the stage In Detroit, because he was alive when he was performing and then In the next hour he was gone and that to me Is very strange and very sad,but today’s not all about what happened 9 years ago, today Is a celebration of a musician who was Important to all of us and whose music made an Impact to us In all of our lives that’s the reason why we are all here on this subreddit today.
My thoughts and feelings today are with Chris’s family and friends today as they mark the 9th anniversary without him being here.
RIP Chris no one sings like you anymore…🖤

Chris Cornell at 2013 Inauguration

I put this on YouTube over a decade ago… Chris’ guitar wasn’t hooked up so he just winged it. And did a mighty fine job, I might add. It’s a testament to who he was. We miss ya.

Pearl Jam - Ranked

After ignoring them since the release of the single Sirens a decade and a half ago, I have found myself listening to band I grew up a fan of. Re- evaluating a discography after a few years away offers new perspectives.

I'll only rank everything up to Backspacer as I just am not familiar enough with the past 3 records.

  1. VS
  2. Yield
  3. Ten
  4. No Code
  5. Vitalogy
  6. Binaural
  7. Backspacer
  8. Avocado
  9. Riot Act

Vs & Yield, for me, are the most playable, no skip albums.
Ten is what it is, a classic, but not without its flaws.
No Code, Vitalogy & Binaural more or less occupy the same space for me.
Backspacer & Avocado have their moments.
Riot Act is the album that put Pearl Jam on the back burner for me when came out in '02. An incredibly boring and uninspired record.

Of course, this is all subjective.

Looking back, which studio/lost dog/b-side/single by Pearl Jam did you hear that spiritually touched your soul?

For me, it was “footsteps” on the Jeremy single

My jaw dropped,
I’ve never heard anything that touched me so deeply so fast

That’s when I became absolutely devoted.

Work is yours?

I can hardly believe it's been nine years since he left us. I miss Chris so much. Your music helped me through some very rough times and I cannot live without your voice. I love you. RIP....

Happy Birthday to the powerhouse Dave Abbruzzese! His energy on Vs. and Vitalogy was just next level. Pearl Jam’s rhythm section was never the same without him. Favorite track featuring Dave?
