Hey everyone,

I've thought I was aroace for a while (no interest in dating anyone, and I don't really feel sexual attraction in the usual way). But recently I've noticed that when I accidentally see girls (especially masculine-presenting ones) in certain contexts, I get a bit excited or flustered. It's not something I masturbate to or fantasize about — it just happens physiologically and then passes. I also really like masculinity as a vibe, even though I'm a girl regardless of gender of its masc leaning.

I don't feel disgusted by men in real life, but male stuff in porn usually does nothing or grosses me out. I don't want to date or pursue anyone, regardless of gender.

Does this still fit under the aroace umbrella (maybe gray-ace or something)? Or am I experiencing some form of bisexual/androsexual attraction? Anyone else relate?

Thanks for reading 💜

I’m looking for some perspective on how to handle my living situation. My dad’s behavior is completely unpredictable some days he is "good" and perfectly fine, but then he randomly switches and treats me poorly without a clear trigger.

This inconsistency is ruining my entire life. I never know which version of him I’m going to get when I wake up. The "bad" days are taking a massive toll on my mental health and making it hard to focus on my daily responsibilities.

For context, my mom passed away, so it is just the two of us at home. I’m wondering if this behavior is a common way of dealing with grief, or if there is something else going on that I'm missing.

My main questions:

Has anyone else dealt with a parent who switches moods like this?

How do you protect your own peace of mind when you can’t leave the situation yet?

Is it worth confronting him, or will that make the "bad" days worse?

TL;DR: Since my mom passed away, my dad’s mood changes randomly between good and bad. It’s affecting my mental health and I need advice on how to handle the unpredictability.

Hey everyone,

I’ve noticed a recurring trend across many subreddits where new users get heavily downvoted for asking basic questions or not knowing the specific "unspoken rules" of a community.

While I understand that veteran users might be tired of seeing the same questions, downvoting someone who is clearly just trying to learn or join the conversation feels like it pushes people away before they even get started.

I’m curious to hear from both sides:

If you downvote new users, what is the main reason? Is it about post quality, or just keeping the sub from being "cluttered"?

If you’re a new user, has this happened to you? Did it make you want to stop using the site?

I'd love to understand why this culture exists and if there’s a better way to guide new people without tanking their karma.

Hi everyone,

I got both rabies and tetanus vaccines today. There was no actual bite or visible wound, but the doctors wanted to be extra cautious and started the protocol anyway.

Right now, my left arm is quite sore, but my right arm feels totally fine. Is it normal for one arm to hurt more than the other? Also, for those who have gone through this, when do the side effects usually start (or peak)?

I have my next dose scheduled for Tuesday. Any tips on how to manage the soreness or what to watch out for in the coming days?

Thanks!

I encountered a stray kitten today. We hear meowing from cage like stuff probably get put by kids around there. We tried to give it some milk and bread. After eating the bread, the kitten started acting very strangely: it began running around frantically, meowing loudly, coughing, and there was white foam/discharge coming from its mouth. It looked like it was choking or panicking.I did not get bitten or scratched, but I touched and petted the kitten. I have a small wound on my finger that was already scabbed over (not bleeding). I washed my hands with soap immediately after.I cannot observe the kitten anymore because it is not here anymore. I am worried about the potential risk of infection from the saliva/foam, given my scabbed wound. Is this something I should be concerned about? I am planning to see a doctor tomorrow, but I would appreciate some insight into the risk level.Thank you.

I can’t remove my makeup right now because I’m on a bus and won’t be home until around 3am 😭 I also have eye drops I was supposed to use today but I couldn’t. By the time I get home I’ll probably be super sleepy, so I’m wondering if just using my cleanser is enough or if it’ll cause problems.
