Burned my hair with fire… help

On Easter Saturday I had washed my hair and used WOW spray (not even oil that day) as usual to keep my hair from humidity making it curly…. I blow dried, straightened and curled.

Then in the evening service at my church, when lights were out and we were holding candles, I heard a “woosh” and another one, this stupidly bright light was near my face and I realise there was a massive fire on my head. I’m lucky I have thick hair because I didn’t get burned at all, just lost three thick strands and you can see my scalp now when I move my hair. One side looks like a balding man, and the shortest strands are about 1 inch.

I feel like some of my hair got burned, but as I was putting out the fire with my hand, it half-burned some strands cause they’re shorter and very brittle. No idea how to care for it… I still keep finding dry lumps falling off… as you can see, my hair on the other side is much fuller. (Last picture is washed and natural curly before the fire…)

Box Bleach At Home

Hi all!

So recently I got my hair bleached at a salon, I wanted a peekaboo do and it came out not too bad...the only bad thing was I didnt consider asking about doing my bangs. I have dark virgin hair and for my bangs, I bought the Loreal Feria Hyper Platinum bleach, but I am scared to damage my hair. Any advice? Anything helps, Thank you!!

Facial Hair Bleach on Bangs?

I’ve been using Jolene or Sally facial hair bleach on my brows for years. I’m curious if I could use it to bleach a section of my micro bangs. Anyone have experience trying it or know enough about bleach to help me understand how this works before I just give it a shot? I don’t really want to buy a big bottle of bleach and developer to only bleach a small section of my bangs.

Got a shag! How to I style face framing layers WITH bangs?

I got a shag with face framing layers yesterday, and I love it. I am currently learning how to style it, though, starting with my usual overnight braids. I wanted to experiment with a round brush and blow dryer for bangs and face framing layers annnd this is how it turned out. I think the bangs are fine, but the face frame isn't exactly how I want it. How does one style these two simultaneously??

Salon messed up my hair and bleached it ???

I went to the hairdresser originally just to get my roots done, and I already had half a head of highlights with a natural light brown base. The stylist (who is a friend’s mum and gave me a discounted price) ended up bleaching my hair to go more blonde, but it’s turned out really warm—my roots are straight up orange and the rest is more yellow/golden. We toned it twice in the salon and it still looks like this, so I feel like it either wasn’t lifted enough or toned properly, but I was still sent home with it. It looks way more ginger than blonde, especially in certain lighting, and it’s not what I asked for at all. I also feel like the tone is really washing me out and doesn’t suit my skin, and I wish she had explained that this might happen before doing it. I originally asked for a cooler, ash/white blonde and even showed her a picture of myself from last summer when I had cooler blonde highlights (which I actually did at home with box dye), and I felt like that suited me really well, but she still said that kind of blonde wouldn’t suit me. I DONT have the money to go back and get it professionally fixed right now and I don’t want to go back to the salon as it is a friends mom who already does my hair on a discount. Is there anything I can do at home on a budget to make it look more neutral or blonde, and what can I do about really orange roots that didn’t respond to toner?

I just don’t get how a box dye job that my mum did on me could go better then a professional in a salon it really makes me really uncomfortable and angry because even discounted it is alot of money wasted for something that is making me feel like I have had the biggest glow down of my life.

PLEASE HELP ME

Please don’t take this down

What is this hairstyle called/how to style hair this way?

I know this is a wig but I'd love to style my hair like this! I have absolutely no idea how to though or even where to start. Rollers? Curling iron? I don't even know what this hairstyle is called

Got a way overdue haircut yestetday

a bit more was cut off then i'd have liked (combination of getting rid of many dead ends and also shorter for layers), but still decently happy with the results.

Do the curls generally look better when I do it myself(like the second and third photo) or how the hairstylist did it?(i had to cycle a few km home through quite fast wind so it does look worse compared to when it finished)

Short hair

Hey, I’m a teenage girl and I really want to cut my hair short but I’m kind of nervous and want some help and advice. First I’m scared that I’m going to cut it and it will make me look like a boy, which I entirely do not want. I wear loose clothes and don’t like wearing tight clothes that show off my figure, I don’t want to cut it and it make me look like a boy at all. Generally I wear oversized graphic tees and jeans, and I don’t want to change my style (or style of comfort). I’m worried about it not looking good because I have a round face, and I cannot find round faces with short hair at all. I don’t know how good it’ll look, cause I really want it to look feminine and cute. I don’t want it to be much maintenance at all, a big factor that I want to cut my hair is because it gets in the way, so I never wear it down and always have it in braids. So I want a haircut that’s not much work and stays out of my face and eyes. Btw my hair right now is naturally straight, armpit length, all red. I really want to have a haircut that’s cute and girly and doesn’t look masculine at all, but is low maintenance (daily, not like cutting it often). Do you guys have any help with suggestions and advice?

Is the Kérastase Genesis Anti Hair-Fall Serum actually worth the hype?

Hi everyone! I would really appreciate some honest opinions. I have been seeing a lot of ads and glowing reviews on YouTube about the Kérastase Genesis Anti Hair-Fall Serum, which initially made me consider buying it. However, when I looked at the price, I realized it is quite an investment, so I thought it would be better to ask for real experiences instead of relying only on ads. Has anyone here actually used this serum? Does it genuinely help with hair fall, or is it more of a temporary or surface level effect? Also do you think it’s worth the price? or are there any better alternatives available that give similar (or better) results? I would really value your honest suggestions and experiences. Thank you in advance.

Uneven?

I'm concerned about the uneven length of the side bangs that hang over glasses after today's haircut. Is there a good way to fix this or is it a non-issue?

People say my hair is my biggest flaw. Any advice welcomed

heres pics of natural(inconsistent waves), curly(scrunched), straightened, blow dried with round brush. I feel it never looks good. People say it doesnt look good no matter the style. I do not want to scrunch it everyday

its like medium/fine but damages easily. Blow drying seems to damage but natural withiut any type of styling is not flatter. People also say it looks flat. Last two pictures have root volumizer

I have a blunt cut that has longer ends in front because any other cut created more split ends even with no heat for me

also is it too thin? I dint really know what the issue is. im looking for any advice

$100+ worth of products recommended... help!

I got my first curly hair cut after 2 years of no heat styling. My curl specialist said my hair was in pretty good shape and would benefit from a different styling routine and increased moisture. I have now purchased the bounce curl brush and have started using the diffuser. I'm just really struggling with the price of the products she recommended.

She wants to ensure I am not using products with silicone and that are water-soluble. She recommended 1. a volumizing shampoo and moisturizing conditioner for each wash 2. clarifying shampoo for occasional use 3. volumizing serum and holding gel for styling.

For just the shampoo, conditioner, and gel it is $100. I was hoping there would be quality options that are less expensive. Any ideas?? Medium hair with mainly 3b curl but it isn't consistent through the whole head.

Is this wavy or just normal?

QUICK NOTE, when I say normal I don't mean straight hair I'm asking if hair curling up when wet like in the first pic is something everyone's hair does regardless of hair type. Obviously straight hair isn't 'normal' or anything but this was the only way I could think to phrase this

Anyways, first pic is me a bit after a shower and second pic is a few weeks ago maybe two days after my hair was last wet just to see the difference

Ash Brown?

This is my natural hair color. My hair is thinning and I’m trying to find extensions or a hair topper to match it. I don’t know what color to tell a stylist that my hair is. I bought ash brown extensions and they’re a little lighter than my hair and you can see where they clip in. I then tried chocolate brown and they’re too dark and maybe too warm? My hair does have some warmth in the sun but next to warm tones still looks wrong. The ash brown extensions are in with my hair curled and a blue tank top. The chocolate are in with waves and a silver shirt. Which is better and what color do you see?

At a loss with what to do with my hair

I’ve always been insecure about my hair. it’s thick, and easily frizzy, and wavy/curly?? I wanna start focusing on myself more so I need some advice on what products to use/discerning what kind of hair I actually have!

when I was younger, I would always wear it in a ponytail, cause I felt like it never fell pretty naturally, now as i get older I continue that way, and use my bangs to make it somewhat stylish. but I want to wear my hair down, and not feel like its a huge ball of frizz on my head.

so, my hair is wavy/leaning curly after washing (and frizzy!). after a few days it settles into wavy leaning straight. when I used to have the motivation, I did a curly hair routine. and I had actual curls that stayed for a while.

so wtf is my hair type, and what are the best tips/advice/products for me to use? I have not much time on my hands to figure this out unfortunately and would really appreciate some advice, thank you in advance!!
