Moisture or Condensation in the Headlights

Hi all - I bought a 2021 Hyundai Kona Ultimate last year in 2025. I have been getting this moisture and condensation inside the upper headlights and the right passenger headlight just went out. Does anyone know how to fix this? I also see there’s some sort of minor crack there. Could it be because of that? Also does anyone know the part I would need to replace this? I’m trying to do it as cheap as possible so will try to do it myself rather than taking it to the dealership. Thanks!

Recommendations to Move

Hi all, I thought I would post my situation on here. I have been living in NYC the past 10 years and I hate it. The smells, public transport, everything. I want to move somewhere where I can buy a house and a car (and not have to pay a ton for parking). I have never been a city person and I enjoy trees and quiet. However, I do need to be in or near a city to make money. I am open to the east coast mostly. Does anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking Boston suburbs or even DC suburbs (on the Virginia side). I looked at Charlotte too. Problem is I have never lived in any of these places. How are they? Thanks!

Edit: I also love to travel so needs to be within an hour of a major airport. Ideally one that has flights internationally.

Dell 14/16 Plus Build Quality

Hi all - I’m looking for a very basic laptop that can handle Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF’s and internet browsing. What matters to me most is build quality though. I don’t like plastic or cheap feeling computers. Is the Dell Plus line good or should I go higher end?

I’m between the Dell Plus 16 and the Lenovo Yoga 7i. Both seem to have Intel Core Ultra 7 processors, 16gb ram, 1000 gb storage, and are around $700/$800 on Best Buy’s website. Let me know what you think!

Help me decide (Windows vs Mac)

Hi all - my laptop is 8 years old and I’m looking to get a new one. My use case for it is Microsoft Office (Word for resume, excel for budgets, and pdfs). It will also be light internet browsing (but no movies or tv shows since I watch those on a tv). I’ve had windows my whole life and I finished college a few years ago. I find that after college, my laptop use has fallen dramatically (I use it once a week now on like Sundays). I want a laptop that feels well built, will last a while and be good for my needs. I read online about the MacBook Air and how everyone loves it. Should I be getting that? Or would a windows laptop do as well? I’m just nervous about learning a new OS and then using Microsoft products on a Mac. Let me know what you think?! Thanks for the help!

So abbot has taken quite a fall lately. However, it just guided to making at least $5.35 (at the low end) so this would put them at under a 16x PE for this years earnings. Dividend is approaching 3% and it is a solid healthcare company. What are the downsides to this? I don’t even understand how it’s gotten so cheap when it’s historical OE was always over 20x. I’m thinking about buying but wanted to ask the community’s advice. Thanks!

Hi all - have you ever had problems with an ex? I’m dating a girl now with 2 kids and my parents biggest issue with that is they heard about ex’s coming to the new parent and blackmailing him for money. They said it happened to their friend’s son. Threatening to take the kids away if he doesn’t pay up or threatening to kill him or if he doesn’t pay, he will make their life miserable. Is that a valid concern? I didn’t even think about it before and I don’t know how valid this is.

Hi all - I am new to the silver game but I’m starting to buy some coins. Which ones are generally regarded as the coolest to own? I’m mostly asking about cool designs or looks. Is it the American Silver Eagles? I see those for $1.99 over spot on JM Bullion. Is there anything cooler than those? Thanks!

Hi all - I sent an envelope on Tuesday, April 21st from NYC to the Boston area (so about 2 weeks). It still has not arrived. Is there a chance it’ll still come? I understand first class mail is 3-5 days but this isn’t even a far distance! Here’s the weird thing, I sent a second envelope on Friday, April 24th to that same address and that hasn’t shown up either. Can 2 envelopes be lost within a week of each other? I sent it directly from the drop box at my local post office in Manhattan so I know USPS got it. Does anyone have any idea if the envelopes might still make it? So weird that 2 went missing.

Hi all - would the Germ Guardian AC4825e work for my size apartment? I would put it in the living room by the HVAC and windows. (Is that a good spot or should it be by the door?). I’m considering buying a second air purifier, a Levolt 200s-p for my bedroom (found it for $20 on fb marketplace). Would this filter the air enough? I don’t have any allergies or pets but my girlfriend told me everyone needs an air purifier in NYC. Is that right? Thanks!

Hi all - I worked my whole life to this goal of mine which I just hit on Wednesday (thanks to Google mostly). I’m 31, in a long term relationship (not married yet), and live in NYC. The depressing part about this is I worked my whole life to save up but I realize as soon as I buy a house (there’s nothing decent under $1m - $1.5m in the suburbs), this entire sum will basically be gone and my stock portfolio will have to be rebuilt. So it’s nice to hit this goal but basically every major expense is ahead of me with a house and kids. Anyone feel this way?

Hi all - I’m filling out the C&F application now and one of the questions is whether a business I was involved in ever declared bankruptcy (exact question below). I owned Spirit stock last year and they went bankrupt. Does that mean I should mark that yes? If they ask for documents surrounding that bankruptcy, would I go to Spirit Investor Relations for that? Thanks!

Has any business in which you had a financial interest in ever declared bankruptcy?

Hi all - I sent out a letter last Monday (9 days ago) from NYC to the Boston suburbs. I then sent out another letter on Wednesday (7 days ago) to the same exact address. It’s now Wednesday and neither has reached the destination yet. I know USPS is having cutbacks but I sent letters this exact route before last fall and they arrived within 3/4 days. Also this ain’t exactly cross county, the two cities are fairly close. Has something changed recently? Like I highly doubt two separate letters both got lost in the mail simultaneously. Also, the designation address has been getting mail but not my letters. What do you guys think?

Hi all - healthcare is a decent part of my portfolio and it has really been underperforming this year (including today). The XLV is down over 8% compared to a 5% gain in the S&P 500. I like healthcare because it’s generally a more stable sector and with the boomers aging, I assumed revenues would continue increasing but this year and even last year, it has seriously underperformed. Do you guys have thoughts on why that is? Nothing jumps out at me off the top of my head. And more importantly, do you think this underperformance will continue? Thanks!

Hi all - I have a question here about GM and its brands. It just reported blow out earnings today and is selling every car it builds. In fact, it has record profits and record selling prices. My question is why no one on here ever recommends a car made by GM? I don’t think I’ve seen it once. I see Toyota, Honda, Subaru, and a ton of Mazda. Are they genuinely bad cars? Are the people who buy them just uneducated? Or what am I missing? Just trying to reconcile their record earnings with what I see on this sub. Thanks for your help!

▲ 10 r/LawFirm

Hello,

I have a question for the group. I have been a practicing attorney for 5 years and only have worked in big law in NYC. I want a chiller life so I started interviewing at law firms in NJ and PA. Suffice to say, I am seeing a lot of 1800 hours billable requirements and a pay range of $130k - $150k for a fifth year (I’m not exaggerating). There’s big law firms that require 1850-1900 and most associates there bill right around that (I know because I’m at one and I make market). Why would anyone go to these regional firms? I just had a call with one and their life doesn’t sound chiller at all. Am I making a mistake by interviewing at these places?
