Anyone getting this? I have no overdue payments nor any debts.

The chat help is absolutely abysmal and I hate it, never get any sense from them ever.

fradulent charge on klarna acct

Got a random notification that my first payment went through for a 300 amazon order that I didn’t purchase. I can’t see that actual items or anything on klarna. Assuming someone got into my klarna and made a one time card (idk how thats even possible that they got my info). I disputed it through klarna but how long does it take for them to investigate and resolve?

Klarna appears to be actively compromised right now. May 8 2026. What to do.

Woke up today to an unauthorized charge on my Klarna account. After investigating thoroughly here is what I found and what you should do if this happened to you.

What happened: Unauthorized Amazon charge appeared on my account with zero login notification, zero email, zero SMS code. My account had zero purchase power meaning the charge was technically impossible through any normal purchase flow. Account has been dormant for 8+ months.

This is on Klarna's end, not yours: Purchases are being made without any authentication on accounts that haven't been used in months. No notification means no one logged in through the front door. This is a backend system level issue.

Klarna has already admitted it: u/AskKlarna is publicly posting on X right now stating they are aware of the issue and are refunding everything. Screenshot those tweets immediately.

What to do right now:

  1. File a dispute through Klarna referencing fraud
  2. Screenshot the AskKlarna tweets admitting fault
  3. Call your bank and request a provisional credit immediately, don't float the money for 3 weeks
  4. File a CFPB complaint at consumerfinance.gov, takes 15 minutes and puts them on a regulatory clock
  5. File with your state Attorney General consumer protection division
  6. Monitor classaction.org for Klarna, a class action is likely coming given the scale of this

Do not wait on Klarna to make this right on their timeline. Take parallel action through your bank and regulators today.

Klarna ID verification Uk

Only got recently asked to upload a photo ID for a purchase. Tried scanning my new Citizen Card but no matter what angle I take it from, it keeps getting rejected for the image quality even though the pictures are perfect. Is this common or would it be because my ID is brand new?

Klarna Hacked?

I saw a post last week of new cards being created and Klarna saying they somehow had a system glitch where old cards auto created and charged.

I had freaked out and didn’t want my credit to take a ding. So I thought I had an overdue payment and immediately paid.

However then I said wtf is this. And I disputed and realized it was a scam.

I disputed before the payment had gone through and four days later they took my money.

I did not make the purchase in the first place.

Has anyone got a refund for these disputes. Should I dispute through my bank? I’m like wtf Klarna. If you acknowledge you are compromised why tf did you take my money.

Frustrated. Have you got your refunds yet?

Has anyone had this happen before?

Saved half of what I need for a new phone. I wanna keep my credit up, so I like making scheduled payments. Anyways, I ordered it LAST MONDAY and the shit is STILL PROCESSING? I contacted Apple support, but then they sent me to Klarna support, then Klarna sends me back to Apple support, and it’s just a back and forth. What the heck do I do? What’s going on? I put $60 as a down payment.

Klarna forcing payment while dispute is unresolved – item already returned

I want to share my current experience with Klarna and AliExpress because I honestly do not know what else to do anymore.

I purchased a drone through AliExpress using Klarna payment services. The item arrived defective and did not function as advertised. I immediately requested a return, but the seller initially refused, so I opened a dispute through AliExpress.

AliExpress then instructed me to return the item using their provided shipping label, which I did immediately and exactly according to their instructions.

Important:

  • I have tracking proof showing the seller received the returned item
  • I have photos of the return process
  • I even recorded a full video showing the packaging process from start to finish, including the item inside the box and the shipping label being attached

Despite all of this, my refund was refused without any proper explanation. The seller now has both the returned item AND my money.

So i contacted Klarna and requested their help to solve this issue

I got a message back statin that the seller has provided all they needed and they found that the item sent is incorrect and the return was fraudulent, case closed now i need to pay and no one would see my reply to set email and even if that was the case i am still liable and i had to pay withing the timeframe they have imposed.

What is even more concerning is that Klarna never once contacted me to request evidence from my side before siding against me. At no point was I asked to provide my tracking proof, photos, video evidence, or any counterstatement regarding the seller’s claims.

Instead, Klarna continued demanding payment, sending overdue notices, threatening collection costs, and eventually limiting my account, despite the dispute still being unresolved.

I have repeatedly attempted to contact Klarna through official complaint emails and support channels, asking for the case to be properly reviewed and requesting that the payment be paused during the investigation. So far, my complaints and follow-up attempts have largely gone unanswered or avoided.

I understand investigations take time, but forcing payment while ignoring the customer’s evidence and refusing meaningful communication feels extremely unfair.

What concerns me most is that I found many similar stories online from people claiming they returned items to AliExpress sellers, the items were received, yet refunds were still denied afterward.

At this point I am posting publicly in the hope that:

  • Klarna properly reviews my case
  • My account limitations and collection threats are paused
  • Someone from Klarna support finally reaches out
  • Other consumers become aware of these issues

If anyone from Klarna support sees this, please escalate my case and actually review the evidence I have available.

I am fully prepared to provide:

  • Tracking proof
  • Photos
  • Full return packaging video
  • Copies of all correspondence and complaint emails

Has anyone else experienced something similar with Klarna + AliExpress disputes?

Anyone else getting double charged by Klarna today? (Technical Glitch?)

Hey everyone, I’m beyond frustrated and wondering if anyone else is dealing with this today.
I had a remaining balance of $1,400 left on a $2,300 total. I went in last night to pay off the rest of what I owed ($1,400) to be done with it. Instead of just taking the $1,400, Klarna processed a charge for $2,100.
They basically charged me an extra $700 that I didn't even owe them.

I contacted support and they gave me the standard: 'We see the error, you'll get a refund in about 7 days’.

I know there was a service disruption today (May 8), but has anyone actually successfully gotten a refund for an overcharge like this?

Purchasing power goes down when I pay

When I pay on time or early, the purchase power goes down. I just paid off a few purchases and it went down by $200. It will go up If I make more purchases even though this just makes it seem like Klarna wants you to spend a lot and get way over your budget with it. I know they make money off fees, but they say your limit will go up with responsible payments.

Klarna denying to have received refund from retailer, now demanding payment. What do I do?

Around christmas time I booked a taxi and used a 30 day plan through Apple Pay. The taxi driver cancelled the booking but the “card” was still charged.

I disputed the charge with klarna, and contacted the taxi firm who sent me an email with a proof of refund which I forwarded to klarna’s customer service. However the order wasn’t adjusted, instead just paused for four months.

I receive a response stating that the refund was processed into one of my cards (I don’t have a bank card ending in those digits and my understanding is that the refund would have to be processed through the original payment method), and now they are demanding I pay them. I have replied straight back disputing this and also got back in touch with the taxi firm, but I feel like I’m not going to get anywhere. What do I do?

This isn’t a small transaction either

Limit went to none

I’ve never missed a payment, my limit used to be about 1000, I’ve made many purchases and paid them all off on time. Recently my spending power went away completely. Any one experience this?

Have a Complaint? Klarna’s CMO Will Direct You to His AI Clone to Vent: ‘I Just Didn’t Want to Hear the Whining’

Klarna CMO David Sandström created an AI avatar of himself so employees could “vent” during a period of budget cuts.

Instead of sending Sandström angry Slack messages, employees could call a number to talk to an AI voice that sounded like him.

This AI counterpart was designed to remain consistently agreeable — quick to apologize and assume responsibility.

So ... I was hacked and my phone was stolen, debit card and all. A month later someone placed an order on my Klarna account, on the debit card that was canceled a month prior. I disputed the charges, but the "investigation" found I made the purchase, not sure how, but??? Klarna keeps telling me to file a Police Report, which I already did 6 months ago when it happened, stating I need to file another one. WTaF? The Police will not come to take a 2nd report. They won't even investigate as it is because I live in a small town and they have no resources to investigate online illegal activity, per the Cheif. Klarna gave me no opportunity to present supporting documents which I requested to do multiple times. Now, Klarna keeps trying to process payment despite me stating I will not and l did not make a purchase for something I absolutely can not use, and is not legal to order without a Dr's script.

I spoke to an attorney and before proceeding I was wondering if anyone else has had an issue with a fraudulent charge and the outcome. I am probably be petty seeing as how it's only around $150 and the attorney will cost me a great deal more, but just no. I am so upset at all of this crap I've been fighting for 5ish months. Klarna - more like Scam-nah.

Ordered something through Klarna, received the item, Klarna has cancelled the plan before anything was paid?

I ordered something from Argos UK. Paid via Klarna and picked the item up in store the next day.

A few weeks later I noticed that the plan was still pending in Klarna. Contacted support who said it was likely Argos' systems lagging behind and to contact them.

Contacted Argos who confirmed my item was marked as delivered and paid for in their system. Told this to Klarna and they said that it could take another 7 days so wait it out.

It's now been about two weeks since then (I forgot to follow up after 7 days) and the payment plan/order now shows as cancelled.

So what happens now? Have I essentially got this item for free or am I going to end up with some sort of black mark on my credit file?

Klarna was telling me it depends on my bank and my bank said it depends on Klarna! What do I do? :(

Ello! I’ve got everything in place and have my starting balance. I’ve heard many are having issues with their pay later balances being “adjusted.” I’m just trying to speed this process up somewhat quickly. I’d truly like to have around 600-750 as available credit on this app. Is it best to pay off the entire balance as quickly as possible, or just stick to scheduled payments to build better report with Klarna?
