What was the plan of MILF Miranda?

What was the plan of MILF Miranda?

I understand why she pretended to be Mia. Probably she wanted to feel what is it to have normal family.

But why she dismembered Rose and gave her body parts to her henchmans? Inst she just want to transfuse the memory of her daughter to Roses body. Why she just didnt do it?

Well that sucked. Never again.

Even with infinite ammo and upgraded weapons this really isn't a fun time. The hard parts (Stronghold, Heisenberg's Factory, Chris's section etc) are miserably difficult, and the slow, slightly boring parts (Donna, Moreau) remain slow and slightly boring.

I say all this as someone who has completed every RE game except RE0 on the hardest mode.

Ah well, it's done now, and at least I've learned you can cancel Miranda's darkness attack with a single flashbang.

Edited for clarification.

ETA: There is one thing I love about VoS, and that's the Lei/crystal remains drops - they seem to have been boosted to match the crazy high damage resistance of enemies, and you get way more crystal wings, skulls etc than other modes. If you can finish it it's worth farming to get Lei (and CP) to unlock all the fun stuff.

Why was Mother Miranda wasted on a single game?

Yes, Miranda's backstory was really important and confusing, but I'm genuinely sad that she only appeared in the Village game and died in a single game. The boss fight was so enjoyable that I played the game three times thanks to Miranda. Separately, a sequel to Village is necessary because the reason why the BSAA soldiers had mold is still a mystery. Anyway, I will continue to cherish Miranda in my heart...

Village ended up being my favourite RE game, and Ethan the best protagonist

So, I played all games from 1 to 8 back to back and honestly, RE7 and 8 are the best games from a narrative standpoint by a LONGshot, all previous games felt like the MC were a means to tell a story, which was Umbrella, but there was little to no depth to the characters being played or the ones close to them, in RE6 it was the first time we ever saw actual characters with Chris and Piers being the most notorious ones, but RE7 and Village took it to the next damned level

If I said everything I wanna say I'd probably be writting a small trunk story, but to cut it short: It's amazing how properly blended the horror aspect is to the action in the game, while RE7 feels more like a survival horror, in Village you can truly feel that Ethan went in there to throw hands and that he actually got military training, but even more than anything else, I absolutely loved the shift from "we are telling stories about bioweapons" to "we are telling stories about characters who got shit from bioweapons", Ethan is an amazing character and absolute banger of a father

I just finished my 4th playthrough after finishing the game in VoS and a Casual run in 1 hour and 50 minutes, now as soon as I get paid, I'll get the DLCs for RE4R, RE7 and Village, while also buying Requiem, because dear god this franchise is amazing

Bit of a crazy one that still doesn’t feel real. I’m a writer and my first book has been published today. It’s all about action horror games and features interviews with a bunch of iconic names - including the first chapter, with John!

John’s enthusiasm and honesty really sets the tone for some pretty personal stories throughout the rest of the book, which features chapters with Ken Levine, Marc Laidlaw, Maggie Robertson and many others.

It’s a dream come true for me. To round it off, John agreed to write the foreword, in which he says some immensely nice things about my work.

I figured people here might get a kick out of an in-depth, sit down chat with the great man himself. Oh, and the book features a killer jacket designed by comic book artist Ray Dillon.

‘Beyond Fear: Inside Action Horror Games’ is available online and across most countries right now, with pre-orders also happening in the US. I’d love for the community to check it out! Thank you and feel free to drop me any questions🤘

EDIT - I’ve had a few requests for links to order, so please see below 😊 Huge thank you to anyone who picks it up!

US pre-orders:
Amazon
(Also available from Barnes & Noble etc)

UK orders (available now):

(Also available from Waterstones, Foyles, Blackwells etc)

So how do we feel about never really getting any more Lady D content?

Lady Dimitrescu was HUGE. Tons of people who never even played a resident evil game were obsessed with her. Not just guys, but tons and tons of girls. There's currently about 5,000 fanfics over at A03 involving Lady D and it's still growing. Most fanfics are written by women, not men.

Given the high interest in her, you'd think they'd at least commission someone to write a novel or comic book with some of her backstory...... or some kind of merchandise like that.

They did release the Shadows of Rose extension and the replay the entire game with Lady D as your combat character, but that's it. They never really did anything to extend her back story. There's no promise of any appearances in any TV shows or movies. Nothing.

It feels like such a missed opportunity. But maybe they don't care since they know they will continue to make money no matter what as they release more RE games in the future. But it's so weird to just ignore and throw away such a popular character.

She would literally print money for them if they would actually do something more with her.

Ethan Winters: Hand Re-attacher, Father of the Year, and Master Seamstress.

So the Mold went to fashion school? Because that stitching is seamless.

Ethan is actually just a walking DIY project. That’s why he can reattach a limb and fix his wardrobe at the same time.

I don’t care what the lore says about the Mold, unless that jacket was woven from the hair of a regenerator, Capcom has some explaining to do. Forget the Megamycete, I want the recipe for that laundry detergent.

Lady Dimitrescu stuck in courtyard

I was exploring the courtyard, wondering why I was constantly hearing the Lady D sound effects without seeing her😭
After this clip I went inside the castle again and after going through a few doors she came around the corner again and she was back to normal, still this was weird😭
