Would an indie (sole developer) game developer find it easier to make co-op games or story-driven games? What kind of game should sole developers prefer?

First of all, I'm still young and I plan to study software development at university and then learn URE5. Since I was a kid, I've wanted to make a horror game, and I was thinking of making a story-driven game, but people around me said that making story-driven games is much harder and much less profitable than making co-op games. Since I have no one to ask, I decided to ask on Reddit. I'm really clueless in some areas, but I'm trying to learn little by little. I would really appreciate your help 😊

Why was Mother Miranda wasted on a single game?

Yes, Miranda's backstory was really important and confusing, but I'm genuinely sad that she only appeared in the Village game and died in a single game. The boss fight was so enjoyable that I played the game three times thanks to Miranda. Separately, a sequel to Village is necessary because the reason why the BSAA soldiers had mold is still a mystery. Anyway, I will continue to cherish Miranda in my heart...
