Nobody can afford anything because it’s impossible to get a freaking job!

It’s literally impossible nowadays to get a freaking job! Even McJobs won’t hire you, they always say they “moved forward with another candidate.”

What has this world come to where you can’t even find good work to survive? Do you know how many young people are still living with their parents these days because of this shit? I think I know how many.

I must’ve applied to 1000 jobs with only 2 interviews. Shameful!!!

Only way to date is the apps these days

It is apparent to me that the only true way to date nowadays is the apps. You have to be on at least one. I’ve never met anyone irl. The only time I met someone to date was in the apps. Prime reason was everytime I went out to some hobby group, it was mostly men. Even IF there were women there (and this is a big IF) most of them were taken or not interested in dating, only in friendships. I’ve found the singles events to be worse than the apps because they cost money and it’s less likely to get a match there than the apps.

Since I don’t get matches on these apps after friends and family checked them (I don’t rely on Reddit advice) I have decided to give up on dating almost entirely. I don’t see any good way around it at this point.

Getting a good match now is like winning the lottery. You may as well not even bother playing and invest in some hobbies you enjoy.

cmv: 2026 is NOT the best year in human history

I will explain why. This will be long. Be prepared.

Firstly, our younger generations (Millennials, Gen Z’s, and Gen Alpha’s) are damaged socially. I blame two main things for this. One was the extended COVID lockdowns. Second is the inability for them to hold conversations due to excess cell phone use. When you have people that don’t socialize well in any society it’s a recipe for future disaster. This is going to get worse as tech advances. Dating is now done primarily by apps which is pretty much window shopping for people. Really sucks. Back in my parents day we actually MET others to be with.

Secondly, everything is so expensive and finding a good job is as rare as hens teeth. Trust me, I’m not joking here. I haven’t been able to find more than just a lousy temp job. I’m pissed. This countries job market is really down in the dumps. What happened to the American Dream? Where did it go? Why did our political climate in the US get so wrecked? What the heck is going on?

We have bad music and movies. Nowhere to go. All the third spaces are gone. Our parents generations had it made. We don’t know what they had and what we missed.

So to sum it up, this year and the decade are NOT the best at all, not by one iota, in human history. The 90s and 2000s were.

Climate change is going to wreck us. Everything is eventually going to come crashing down. No wonder the doomsday clock is set at a minute and a half to midnight.

I end here. I hope our younger generations can wake up and smell the coffee because this is crazy beans.

Need help with dating

As an autistic person, it’s much harder to date compared to the average person. What is a good place to meet people for dating as a 34 year old autistic male? I looked up a Pilates class nearby my area and most of the women attending the classes appear to be older or already in relationships. I tried out a chair yoga class once (and I am interested in doing yoga and Pilates as a whole) and it was all older ladies.

Temp role ended early unexpectedly

I was working as a temp at a law firm, I was covering for someone on medical leave. The primary duties of the job were stuffing envelopes, requesting and approving checks, and cutting checks. I did a fairly decent job (a couple of the envelopes were too thick, but the co supervisor there said it was fine because there were a lot of papers) and I showed up to work on time and left on time. I am guessing the woman who was out decided to come back, but I wasn’t told this by anyone, I only found out by surprise when my temp agency called and told me I didn’t need to return to the role. I only worked there for 9 work days, two weeks in total counting weekends, when I was originally told the job could go for up to three months.

Have a date tomorrow!!

I met this lady at a game night a week ago (we had been friends on Facebook for a while before that). We seemed to hit it off quite well and I asked her to join my group. She agreed, and then I started to grow an attraction to her. I then got up the courage to ask her out. She told me she was interested in me as well and would LOVE to go out, and I proposed a day and time and we set the date. She told me she was interested in both making friends and dating, but that she saw me in a dating context and liked me as well.

I will let everyone know how the date goes.
