What’s one thing you wish you knew before joining DU? 🎓

Before joining DU, I honestly thought college life would be just fun, freedom, and hanging out with new people

But no one tells you how confusing societies, attendance, internships, friend groups, and course pressure can get at the same time.

If you’re already in DU or passed out, what’s that one thing you genuinely wish someone had told you before your first day?

Could be about college life, professors, placements, PGs, friendships, campus reality, literally anything.

What’s something you thought would make you happy in your 20s but didn’t?

Growing up, i genuinely thought having a good salary, freedom, and a “stable” life in my 20s would automatically make me happy. but somehow even after achieving some of those things, the stress, confusion, loneliness, and constant pressure still exist 😭

it’s weird because as kids we imagine adulthood as this exciting phase where everything finally makes sense but in reality, it feels more like trying to figure yourself out while pretending you already have 💀

Nobody prepared me for how weird friendships become after everyone starts earning differently

Back in college, nobody cared much about money because we were all broke together.

Now one friend casually plans international trips while another avoids dinners because ₹700 feels expensive.

You start noticing small things - people checking menu prices, saying “you guys go ahead”, or slowly showing up less to plans.

Nobody’s wrong. Everyone’s just at different stages financially now.

It’s weird because there’s no fight or drama, but adulthood quietly changes friendships in ways I never expected.
