A stunning journey through India’s currency evolution it's not just money, it's pieces of history!

Came across this incredible collection of Indian currency that beautifully captures how our rupee has evolved over the years. From rare vintage notes to modern designs, each piece tells a story of India’s economic and cultural journey. What stands out is the patience and effort behind collecting notes that are no longer in circulation. It’s more than just a collection-it’s like preserving history on paper. sc

One Quarter (Anna) - East India Company, 1830s coin

Today I was arranging my coins into the coin albums i bought recently. There I found this coin. Its a One Quarter (1/4 Anna) coin. The last digit of the year can't be read but the first 3 digits are 183. So yes, it's from 1830s.
