What’s the best free software to start sampling music?

I’ve been fascinated with sampling for a while now, and I’ve finally decided to bite the bullet and start doing it myself, but I wanted to know what free software is the best for someone just starting.

Is it a good idea to not go to college right after high school, and just start working for a few years until you figure out what you want to do?

A lot of people around me have committed to colleges already, and the pressure of having to have your whole life planned at 18 is getting to me a little. But I don’t fully know what I want to do for a career, so I decided I’d just work for a few years after high school, then once I have some level of real world experience I’d figure out if I’d go to college or a trade school. But I wanted to ask others here if that might be a good idea, my parents aren’t really giving super helpful advice, and I’d just like some different perspectives.

Everytime I see stories on the news or on social media about all the awful things that are happening to people all over the world, from poverty, to abuse etc. and I feel so guilty because I can’t really do much to help others as much as I want to. I’m still in high school, I don’t have my drivers license yet, and what free time I have is eaten up by my job or extracurriculars. I plan to start volunteering more starting over the summer when I have more free time, and want to go into a career that helps people, but even having these plans doesn’t ease my guilt over something as minor as enjoying myself in the moment. I hate it. And to make it worse a lot of people in my family are pretty ignorant about this stuff or are actively supporting the people who are making things worse for others, and I feel guilty just by association.

I’m 17M and still in high school, I currently have a part time job working in a warehouse, which can get pretty physically demanding, with lots of heavy lifting. I enjoy this kind of work and have been considering doing something similarly physical for a career, but I’m still unsure of what exactly that might be. Do you guys have any idea where I should start seriously looking, or any ideas for careers that might fit me?

I was listening to Sugarfall by Britney, and got pissed that it never got officially released cause it’s SOOO GOOD, and it got me wondering about the unreleased songs from other pop stars, that deserve their day in the spotlight. What are some of your picks?

Popjustice is a forum that was started back in the 2000s and recently it has announced it will be shut down on April 27th, taking it’s 20+ year archive of posts with it, and currently only people with an existing account can use the site, if you don’t the only thing you can access is a message announcing the closure. I have used this site for a few months now and was unable to create an account for a reason that the site never stated, so I’m not able to archive any posts myself. I don’t know if anything can actually be done to archive anything, but I figured there would be some interest in the lost media community, as this is another example of an entire site’s content being deleted without any way to access it.
