Ibuilt a tiny expense tracker because I was tired of not knowing where my money disappeared

I realized most of my small daily purchases were adding up way more than I thought.

So I made a very simple expense tracker called Xpensio mainly for quick daily logging without complicated setup.

No accounts, no subscriptions, just a lightweight tool to see spending habits more clearly.

Still improving it, but it has already helped me become more conscious about random spending. Maybe useful for someone here too.

• no requiriera registro

• respetara tu privacidad

Building a simple expense tracker as a student — localization unexpectedly changed everything

I’m a student learning app development and lately I’ve been focusing on building small utility apps that people might actually use daily.

Recently I localized my finance app Xpensio into Spanish and German and started getting installs/impressions from countries I never expected, which honestly taught me how important distribution and language are.

The app is still small, but the goal is simple: help people better understand their spending habits with quick expense tracking, smart analysis and weekly/monthly comparisons without making things complicated.

It works offline, doesn’t require an account/login, and it’s free on Play Store. I’d genuinely love feedback from people here since I’m still learning and improving it.

Hi everyone 👋

While working with PDFs for reports and research documents, I realized many people upload sensitive files to random online PDF websites without really knowing where their data goes.

That’s one of the reasons I built VyMerge — a simple app to merge PDFs and images directly on your phone, without uploading anything to the internet.

I especially made it for students, researchers, teachers, and professionals handling important documents daily.

✅ Free

✅ No login

✅ 100% private

✅ Works offline

Would genuinely appreciate your feedback and suggestions 🙏

I’ve tried a lot of budgeting apps, but most of them either:

– require an account

– sync data to the cloud

– or collect more data than I’m comfortable with

I just wanted something simple:

track my expenses locally, no login, no tracking, no data collection.

So I ended up building a small app for myself that works completely offline.

Everything stays on the device.

It’s nothing fancy, just:

– quick expense tracking

– simple insights

– subscription tracking

But it helped me a lot to actually see where my money goes without worrying about privacy.

I’m curious:

do you guys prefer offline apps for this kind of thing, or do you not really care about data collection?

Hey everyone,

As a student, my phone is always cluttered with photos of whiteboards, separate PDF lecture slides, and random study scans. I got tired of using those "free" online tools that either limit how many files you can merge or make you upload your private notes to their servers.

So I built VyMerge.

It’s a simple, fast app to combine all your PDFs and images into one clean file.

  • Privacy First: It works 100% offline. Your study materials never leave your phone.
  • No Restrictions: No file limits or annoying "cloud processing" queues.
  • Simple Workflow: I use it to group my clinical notes and photos into organized PDFs before I start my revision sessions.

I made this to save time and keep my files organized without the headache. Hope it helps some of you stay focused on the actual studying!

Hello ,

I’m a med student and I spend most of my time dealing with a mountain of scattered lecture slides, lab results, and textbook scans. I was really frustrated with the "free" online PDF tools—most of them make you pay a subscription just to merge a few files, or worse, they make you upload your private documents to their servers.

Since I code a bit on the side, I built VyMerge to solve this.

It’s a simple, fast tool to combine PDFs and images into one file.

  • 100% Offline: This was huge for me. Your notes stay on your phone, period.
  • Fast & Simple: No accounts or "cloud processing" wait times. Just pick your files and merge.
  • Organize anything: I use it to group all my clinical photos and PDFs into one clean file before an exam.

It’s helped me clean up my study folders a ton, and I thought it might help some of you stay organized too ❤️ 🔥 .

Would love to hear if there are any other features that would make your study workflow easier!

Hey ,

I’m a med student who spends way too much time coding side projects. I built VyMerge because I was frustrated with the current state of simple utility apps.

Most "free" PDF tools online or on the store are either:

  1. Data-hungry (making you upload files to their servers).
  2. Locked behind a subscription for a simple 3-file merge.
  3. Laggy because they're basically just web-view wrappers.

I wanted something that just works. It’s a fast, native tool to combine PDFs and images into one file.

  • 100% Offline: This was my main priority. Your documents stay on your device—no uploads, no data collection.
  • Frictionless: No accounts, no onboarding tutorials, just "Add" and "Merge."
  • Utility-first: I use it daily to group my clinical notes and lecture scans into organized PDFs.

If you’re trying to keep your digital workspace clean without compromising your privacy, I’d love for you to check it out.

Always looking for feedback from fellow productivity nerds on how to make the workflow even faster!

Hey everyone,

I’m a med student who codes a bit on the side, and honestly, I got fed up with all those 'free' PDF websites. They either make you wait in a queue, hit you with a subscription wall after two files, or—worst of all—make you upload sensitive notes to their servers.

So I spent my free time building VyMerge.

It’s just a fast, simple app to combine PDFs and images into one file. I made it work completely offline so your study materials stay on your phone, and it’s built to be quick so you don't waste time while studying.

If you’re drowning in scattered lecture slides or lab scans like I was, give it a shot. Hope it becomes as useful for you as it's been for me!

I'd love to read all of your feedbacks !

Between taking care of a baby, the house, and everything else, I’ve realized how easy it is to forget small but important things during the day.

For me, it’s sometimes things like medications or routines .. not because I don’t care, just because everything gets so busy.

I’m actually a biology student with a passion for building small apps, so I ended up creating something simple called Carebell to help me stay on track with reminders. It’s been really helpful for me so far.

Curious how you all manage staying organized with everything going on 🌸💕?

▲ 12 r/ADHD

Does anyone else feel like driving with ADHD is just one big sensory battle? Yesterday, I was trying to focus on the car in front of me, but my brain was busy tracking a bird, a weirdly bright billboard, and wondering why the person next to me was singing so hard.

It feels like I’m processing a thousand things at once while everyone else is just... driving. Does anyone else get that total overwhelm, or do you have a trick for tuning out the world?
