➨ [App] I’m 19 and built a simple workout tracker because I got frustrated with modern fitness apps

I’m 19 and recently released my first Android app called “Minimal Lift.”

I originally made it for myself because most workout apps I tried felt way too overwhelming. A lot of them are packed with subscriptions, social features, ads, AI stuff, and screens I never actually used when training.

I just wanted something simple where I could:

  • log workouts quickly
  • track lifts
  • stay consistent
  • and get out of the app fast

So I started building my own version with a more minimal approach.

I’m still learning app development, so the app definitely isn’t perfect yet, but it’s something I’ve genuinely spent a lot of time improving and polishing. I’d honestly appreciate real feedback from people who actually lift or track their workouts regularly.

The app is called “Minimal Lift”. I attached some screenshots in this post if anyone wants to check it out.

[Promo] Tired of financial apps selling my data, I built Vento: 100% offline, 256-bit encrypted, no bank linking.

Most free budget apps are just data-harvesting machines.
Vento is the opposite: your data stays on your device, uses 256-bit encryption, and doesn't require an account.

It handles transactions, budgets, goals, and recurring bills entirely offline.

If you're someone who values privacy over the convenience of automatic bank syncing, I'd love for you to try it out. What features are you missing in current privacy-focused tools?

Thanks for all the peeps here who helped shape the app.

Giving away lifetime premium to first 100.

[App][Promo] I built MoneySplit - An offline-only subscription/budget/expense tracker that is private by design (60% OFF for a while)

MoneySplit is a private, offline expense tracker built for real daily life with support for almost all currencies in the world.

Edit 1: 60% off in title is typo it should be upto 75% based on different currency pricing. Apologies for this oversight.

Edit 2: if app hangs in Upgrade to pro screen, please force close and start the app. I am patching this issue. Apologies

Why MoneySplit stands out

Privacy-first by default: your financial records stay on your device unless you choose backup options.

Offline-first design: core tracking, review, and planning features work even without internet.

No forced sign-up wall for basic use.

Built for practical speed, not clutter.

Key Features:

  • Privacy by Default: No forced sign-ups. Your data stays on your phone.
  • Smart Import: Reads bank SMS alerts (verified for all Indian Banks) and PDF statements (with password support) (coming soon) to automate expense logging.
  • Bill & Subscriptions: Tracks your EMIs and recurring payments so you don't miss due dates.
  • Clean UI: Built with Material 3 principles for a fluid, clutter-free experience.
  • Customised Insights: Get spending insights, recurring payment alerts
  • UI Customisation: supports controls as per user preferred hand (left/right), accessibility controls, Android 12 Dynamic theme support

The Promo: I despise the "renting software" trend, so the app has a strict one-time purchase model. Right now, I'm running upto 75**% OFF (varies by country as taxes are different in different countries) sale on both the Pro and Pro Plus lifetime plans**. To avail discount, check the upgrade page.

[App] [Promo] Categories suck, labels make more sense in an expense tracker

I used a lot of expense manager apps in the past, but the main issue with them was that almost all forced your transaction into a category (or subcategory at best). Let's say you want to log your dinner from vacation. You either choose Food category or Vacation, but what if you want to put it in both?

This is where my app differs from the rest. Instead of forcing the transaction into one category, I label it instead. I can add as many labels as I want and labels can have sublabels and so on.

So if I had dinner on vacation I add these labels:

  • 🍕Pizza (sublabel of Food)
  • 🏝️Rome trip (sublabel of Vacation)

This label system now gives me flexibility to see insights I never could with other apps:

  • How much I spent on food on my Rome trip
  • How much I spent on my Rome trip
  • How much I spent on pizzas in Rome
  • How much I spent on pizzas this year
  • How much I spent on vacations

The app is called SpendTree. If you wanna give it a try, so far, only android version available https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spendtree.app

[App] [Promo] Advanced Text Effects Editor — Text Behind Image, Stretch & Layered Typography

It focuses on advanced text effects for social posts, posters, thumbnails, and creative photo edits. You can place text behind people or objects, but also create flat text effects, stretched text, layered typography, interlace text, perspective-style designs, and realistic depth text edits.

Main features:

  • Text behind image effect
  • Flat text effect

  • Layered text effect
  • Interlace text effect
  • Multiple text layers
  • Realistic depth text
  • Image filters
  • Fonts, colors, gradients, shadows, and outlines

I made this for users who want more creative photo text edits than basic text-on-photo apps.

Would love honest feedback from Android editing and customization users.

[App] [Promo] Decluttr: A bulk app uninstaller built to save phone storage, not lose context.

Let’s be honest about a habit most of us on this sub share: We scroll through here daily, see an incredibly useful or beautiful app, and either:

  1. Download it immediately, let it sit unused for 3 months, and watch our storage disappear.
  2. Pass on it to save space, only to completely forget its name weeks later when we actually need a tool like that.

I built Decluttr to fix this app-hoarding anxiety. It’s an uninstaller utility that treats your removed apps like a personal library instead of trash.

Core Feature: Bulk Uninstall + Smart Archive Instead of letting unused apps drain your battery and storage, Decluttr lets you safely wipe them out in a fast, guided batch uninstallation.

The magic happens after they are gone: Decluttr leaves behind a lightweight 0-byte digital bookmark with your custom notes (e.g., "Used for 2026 taxes" or "Great travel app"). Your phone stays clean, but you can confidently reinstall any app with a single tap whenever you need it again.

Bonus: The "Reddit Lurker" Wishlist To keep your phone clutter-free, I added an in-app Wishlist: Next time you see an app recommendation here, Open it in the Play Store, hit Share, and send it directly to Decluttr. Next time you need a tool, search your own curated wishlist first instead of blindly digging through the Play Store.

Quick Highlights: Batch Uninstaller: Remove multiple heavy apps or games in one go.

Smart Bookmarks & Notes: Remember exactly what a deleted app did and why you had it.

Rarely Used Discovery: Safely find the biggest storage-wasting candidates (optional local permission).

Free Cloud Sync: Sign in with Google to sync your shortcuts and wishlists across devices for free.

Privacy & One-Time Purchase Safe: No background deletions. Every uninstall uses Android’s secure system dialogue.

No Subscriptions: The core uninstaller, wishlist, and cloud sync are entirely free. Unlimited archive space is unlocked via a single, one-time lifetime purchase.

I’m actively optimizing the app right now and would love your brutal, honest feedback!

[Promotion] I built Guardexa to help you see who tried to unlock your phone

hey everyone,

i recently launched Guardexa, an Android app i’ve been building to help people know what happens when someone tries to access their phone without permission.

the idea is simple: when protection is enabled, Guardexa can detect failed unlock attempts and save useful details like front camera photos, short videos, event history, and optional location. after you unlock your phone, you can review what happened.

it can also help if your phone is lost or stolen, because failed unlock attempts can trigger evidence that may be useful later, especially with email alerts enabled.

main features:

  • detect failed unlock attempts
  • capture front camera photos
  • record short videos with sound and surroundings
  • save events for later review
  • optional location capture
  • optional email alerts
  • privacy-focused protection settings

i thought this could be useful for some Android users here, and i’d really appreciate any honest feedback from people who try it.

as a small launch giveaway, i’ll give lifetime premium codes to the first 20 members who want to use it. just DM me and i’ll send a code while they last.

Play Store link:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=xyz.forgebase.guardexa

Update: the 20 lifetime promo codes are now all claimed. thanks a lot to everyone who tried Guardexa and sent feedback.

the app already includes useful protection features for free, but for anyone who wants to upgrade their protection with the Pro version, i created a public promo code for 1 month free Pro: REDDITPRO

happy to hear any thoughts if you check it out, especially if there’s anything that feels unclear or could be improved.

Hey everyone! I wanted to show you a quick demo of my app, WExcel. In the video, I’m sending messages from WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, and Emails to the other phone. The app listens to the notifications and automatically pulls ONLY the specific data I need into an organized Excel sheet.

💡 The coolest part to watch: Notice how the app handles different phrasing! In one of the messages, I deliberately used the word "buyer" instead of "name". Because I set it up as an Alternative Keyword (Synonym), the app was smart enough to recognize it and place the data perfectly under the "Name" column!

Key Features: Supports ANY messaging app + Emails. Smart Keyword Mapping (Synonyms & Stop Words). Supercharged engine (Handles 100k+ rows without lag). Fully privacy-focused (Extracts locally on your device).

I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or any features you'd like to see added!

Just launched Postmarks on iOS and Android. The idea: your daily steps move you along a real-world route through Japan, Korea, or Taiwan. Reach a new city and you earn its vintage postal stamp — illustrated collectibles that fill your digital passport.

The gamification layer:

— Route progression: steps = distance traveled on a real map
— Collectible stamps: one per city, earned permanently
— Daily streaks: habit reinforcement without affecting your collection
— Secret stops: hidden locations along routes with rare stamps
— After Dark mode: walk in a different mode to unlock exclusive night-variant stamps on a parallel collection

The free tier includes the Heart of Honshu route through Japan. Premium unlocks 8 routes total across Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, plus After Dark mode.

Free on iOS and Android.

Built a minimal EPUB reader for Android as a designer

Hey everyone 👋

I’m a solo designer and I’ve been quietly building an Android reading app called Bookworm over the past few months.

The idea started because I wanted something that felt closer to Apple Books — clean, minimal, distraction-free — but for EPUB readers on Android.

So I built Bookworm:
• Import your own EPUB books
• Clean reading experience
• Minimal UI focused on reading
• Built for people who actually read a lot on their phones

Would genuinely love feedback from readers/designers/developers here. What do you usually hate about existing ebook apps? What would make you switch?

Hey r/Adblock,

Sharing an open source project I've been building: SmartTube for iOS/macOS — a native

Swift YouTube client that blocks ads at the app level, not through a browser extension.

Why this exists: uBlock Origin can't run on iPhone. The official YouTube app can't be

patched without a jailbreak. This solves both problems natively.

How it works:

- Uses the InnerTube API directly, bypassing the ad-injected web player entirely

- SponsorBlock API integrated — auto-skips sponsors, intros, self-promos, interaction reminders

- DeArrow community titles and thumbnails

- Google OAuth sign-in — real subscriptions, history, playlists

- Zero tracking, no analytics, no third-party SDKs

- Up to 8K playback, Picture-in-Picture

- iPhone, iPad, appleTv and Mac — native Swift 6, fully auditable source

Source: https://github.com/milika/SmartTubeIOS

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/smart-tube-bdp/id6761388918

Happy to answer questions about the ad-blocking implementation specifically.

**Game Title:** TimeSense

**Playable Link:** https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.timesense.game

**Platform:** Android

**Description:** TimeSense is a time perception game that challenges how well your internal clock actually works. The core idea is simple but surprisingly addictive — can you feel exactly when 5 seconds have passed without counting? Can you stop a timer at the exact right moment? Can you out-time another player in a head-to-head duel?

The game includes multiple modes to test different aspects of your time sense, including a unique Fuel Fill mode where you have to stop at the perfect moment. There's an Online Duel mode where you can challenge other players in real time, global leaderboards to climb, and daily challenges to keep things fresh. I also built a full XP and rank progression system that takes you from Beginner all the way up to Legendary, plus achievements to unlock along the way.

It's a casual game you can pick up for a minute or sink an hour into without realizing it (which is kind of fitting, given the theme). I'd really love to hear what you think — what feels good, what feels off, and whether you'd actually keep playing. Honest feedback is the most valuable thing I can get right now.

**Free to Play Status:**

- [x] Free to play

- [ ] Demo/Key available

- [ ] Paid (Allowed only on Tuesdays with [TT] in the title)

**Involvement:** Solo developer — I designed, coded, and published the entire game myself. This is my first published Android game.
