Feedback needed for business idea !

Feedback needed for my business idea, friends ! Please help.

I noticed a huge gap in how we get local news in India. Whenever any big news event happens in remote areas or villages or even highways, the big news vans usually arrive 3 hours late. By then, "real" footage is gone.

I was reading “Mad For Ideas” newsletter today and they shared a startup idea ‘Eyes Everywhere’ - Basically suggesting an app that would turn every smartphone user into a professional-grade satellite unit to share photo/news to newsrooms.

Instant Freelancing by local people: If you are within 500 meters of a breaking story, the app pings you to go live.

Direct PCR Bridge: Your feed patches directly into the news channel’s control room.

Remote Anchoring: An anchor in Delhi can send you real-time "Interview Prompts" on your screen, so you know exactly what to ask witnesses jo ekdum professional lage and easy edit ho paye newsroom se.

Basically, gig-worker type idea for news reporting work. Media houses save on costs, and regular people with smartphones get a "Footage Royalty" for being at the right place at the right time.

I’m exploring to pursue this idea with a friend because the business breakdown in that newsletter looked solid - So need honest feedback if you guys think big Indian channels would pay for user-generated live streams instead of sending their own crews? And what other challenges/issue that needs to be solved for this ?

Does this sound like a winning business idea opportunity that can scale ?

Need your help guys.

Me and my friend found this idea on a newsletter - and now researching to see what would be pro and con/hurdle to do this.

Idea is - “BookMyShow for Temples”

Problem:
Temple darshan in India is chaotic.

  • Extreme crowding & poor management
  • Devotees waste hours just standing in lines
  • Unofficial agents charge huge money for “quick entry”

Idea:
A centralized app where devotees book timed darshan slots using QR codes.

  • Book an 11:00 AM slot
  • Get notified 15 mins before
  • Walk in without standing for hours
  • App shows live crowd levels (Red/Yellow/Green)

For temples:
A dashboard to control real‑time entry and prevent overcrowding.

Revenue:
Small convenience fee per booking + commission on prasad, parking, offerings + ads.

Goal:
Improve safety, remove middlemen, and make darshan predictable and stress‑free.

Question for you:
Is this practically feasible in India given temple politics, govt control, priests, and digitization challenges?
