Planning to buy a laptop currently i have budget of 1400$ cad almost 150k RS which laptop would you prefer to me. mac or windows.

should i buy in nepal or bought from canada cause there is my relatives….

I had a serious problem with my laptop. I was using it normally while it was plugged into the charger, and I noticed the battery percentage was not increasing. I decided to unplug the laptop from the charger, but suddenly the laptop turned off. I was surprised, so I tried multiple times. I checked the battery status and gathered all the information from the laptop, battery charge cycle, battery charging status, and everything that we normally see, but I didn't find any clues. I was so scared because my laptop is not a normal type; it is an HP gaming laptop (Victus).

I decided to get technical support and called a technician. The technician confirmed the battery was not working, told me I should replace it, and he kept the laptop. He said he didn't have stock of the batteries and that NRs 6,500 would be the total cost; he said he'd keep the laptop for 2 to 3 days and return it after replacing the battery. I was okay with that. After a few days, he said, "Old stock batteries are not compatible, so new batteries are NRs 8,000." I decided to replace it. He kept the laptop for almost 16 days. I don't know why I was so worried, but I was okay with that.

After 16 days, he called me and asked me to collect my laptop, and I paid NRs 8,000. I came home and decided to check the battery status. I found the cycle count was 602, and the CT number and serial number were the same. The battery charge history continued from 44% to 100% after I gave my laptop to the technician. I was shocked because I lost 8,000 without getting a new battery. I decided to call him, and he said, "I changed the BMS circuit; I also replaced the cells."

However, I decided to learn more about batteries, and I learned that if any battery is changed or the BMS circuit is changed, the CT number and serial number will be different, and the cycle count will be less than 5. I decided to threaten him. I called him and said, "I'll take legal action." He was shocked and said, "Give me the laptop for one week, and I'll change the battery and return it to you." He tried to convince me that the battery was changed but my laptop had a fault and it was showing the old serial number and CT number.

He asked for the laptop, but I decided to get help from the HP company itself. HP responded in a really good way. I also went to another technician and confirmed that no repairing or maintenance had been performed. I told the first technician I would cancel his license and take action, and then he refunded the full amount. The actual problem was that a BIOS update was required for the laptop! So, I request all readers to please check twice after you get service for anything. Thanks for reading!

I don't know lot about laptops so I have a budget of 150k, what should I get, Mac or windows any options...? I am about to study Ml, and i'll be doing lot of heavy music production stuff, so can you suggest me to pick either of them with the appropriate version?

Recently I am seeing temperature spikes in my laptop and I think I must change the thermal paste.
