Isolation is stressful

Been glued to my devices while studying, and I'm feeling quite lonely and stressed. Human contact would do me good, but I think I've forgotten how to even converse properly atp. How do I cope?

I found a use for expired glycolic acid

I know this isn’t skincare relevant but hmo…

I purchased The Ordinary glycolic acid 2 years back for some skin concerns which solved itself, so half of it was sitting on my bathroom shelf with no purpose.

Then I got a drain fly infestation in my bathroom which icked me out terribly. For lack of ACV in the house at the time, I sprayed glycolic acid on them (not the eggs, on the flying ones). It worked girls, IT WORKED! And no stink either!

Please dont judge me, your girl was desperate!

Help with correct answer, need a better explanation

Going by omission method, it makes sense to choose B, but how does that really make sense?

My thought process while processing B: We dont know from the vignette if COI disclosure was made.

But anyone has a better explanation for this?

AITA for choosing study over baby (temporarily)

In 6 months I have to sit for a very difficult and career pivoting professional exam. I need to study uninterrupted for 5 hours daily. I even took a career break to give it my 1000%.

My daughter is 2yo and of course she’s over the moon Im available 24/7 at home for her playtime - she’s a mama’s girl through and through.

So Im having a hard time studying at length. I had to shut the door on her several times, and she took it hard obv. Now my FIL is judging me for not prioritising her and isolating myself for study time. He says: children are more important than studies, I cant ignore her.

So they drop her with me and Im left baby watching, which turns into a vicious temper outburst where I strictly tell them off for encroaching my boundaries. I do spend quality play time with my LO after Im done with daily study sesh. Im a big believer of quality over quantity.

But this is unfair! My husband gets the full support system when he pursues his professional certs, while Im sidelined as a mother. Mind you, Im also one of the breadwinners of my family. So me failing my exam has financial consequences for their livelihoods as well.

EDIT: Its a south-east asian household. In-laws live with us, they refused to let paid childcare in or even let us take her to daycare. Husband is MIA in all this - he works long hours so as all entitled SEA men are like, they get a free pass on parenting (I do keep him on his toes with some of the daughter activities so he isnt on 100% free pass). He’s non-confrontational with his parents, they emotionally blackmail him with filial duty bs all the time.

EDIT 2: Thank you for commenting guys. I thought I was overreacting, but Im like fighting a whole system to set an example. It’s very exhausting while studying at the same time. Just wish me luck that I pass this exam and prove to myself that I have in me to beat the odds. This is a whole beast of a situation (in-laws, husband, family culture, young kid). This needs a very deep and uncomfortable conversation with my husband. Uncomfortable for him, not me. So wish me luck on that too!

So AITA for picking myself for once in my life, so we can have a better future for my baby?

This is its 2nd flowering season after 4 years. But it’s been raining a lot for the past week. Is there hope for a bloom? How do I protect the baby?

My daughter is 28 months now. She’s not very consistent with her verbal cues with poop. Some days she says she wants to go, other days she lurks around and tries to hold it in.

We’re not even near pee training yet.

We want to potty train her by 36 months. I am absolutely clueless. Im dreading it like anything. Id honestly pay someone to do it for us. Any hope in this journey (tips, tricks, camaraderie) is appreciated.

I need to find a chilled out place in dhanmondi to self-study for 3-4 hours at a stretch. Need:

  1. Good free wi-fi
  2. Charging ports
  3. A nice cup of mocha
  4. Not obnoxiously loud chatter/music

Help out a homie, tia!
