How can I tell if I’m introverted or if I have anxiety. I constantly overthink everything whether it be how I smell, how my teeth look, how I look. I don’t know whether this is anxiety or just me being introverted.

So I went to the dentist and usually I’m good about my oral hygiene but these past couple of months I’ve been lacking on taking care of my teeth. I obviously still am brushing 2x daily but I have gotten horrible about flossing and tongue scraping. To be honest even my brushing has gotten worse. When the dentist was working on my teeth and using the floss thing I started bleeding and she called me disgusting. I honestly felt horrible about the situation but also was taken aback.

Should I switch dentists and find a new one or take this feedback as constructive and work on my flossing. Please let me know.

Edit: I’ve known this dentist for a couple of years and she is someone I feel like I can trust. I’ve gotten DMs called me dirty and I should be flossing daily. I downloaded this app, Whiten that should help me stay accountable so I’m working on it.

I feel like brushing your teeth is something that everyone should universally do. By not doing that you’re not only hurting yourself but the other people around you. I honestly think it’s the bare minimum and everyone should be forced to take care of their oral hygiene. Does anyone agree with this or do people think free expression should be allowed.

Edit: I encountered this app called Whiten and it had a score on it which indicates how well you are taking care of your oral hygiene. If you don’t have access to oral hygiene items then it’s understandable but if you do, you should really start taking care of your teeth. It’s beneficial in every way possible and only takes a couple minutes out your day.

This is a serious question, because I’ve been talking to people in my math class and their breath is terrible. Do people actually care about their teeth and care about their oral hygiene. I talked to the dentist recently and they said that brushing is only 60% of taking care of your oral hygiene. I think most people don’t even do that.

I feel like productivity is super common among people that care about their self-image. I was talking to my dentist recently and they said that more and more people have been having problems related to teeth. It’s one of those things that go unnoticed until it starts spiraling downward. If you’re interested in an app with streaks, reminders, scores, and tasks and want to take care of your oral health this is for you.

Edit: ok it seems like people really do brush their teeth 2x a day. I was just curious and didn’t know I was so unhygienic. People have been flooding my DMs calling me dirty but other people have been helpful and showed me this app Whiten that should help me fix my oral hygiene.

I just got told at the dentist that my gum recession has been getting pretty bad and I had 2 cavities. I am super worried about losing my teeth at such a young age. Please take care of your teeth, it so important. Build a structured oral hygiene routine and take it seriously.

When I was growing up I never even thought about this happening. Please take advice from me and don’t take your teeth for granted. I have started getting back on track using an app that holds me more accountable.
