🔥 Hot ▲ 5.4k r/nigerianfood+1 crossposts

This isn't just thinking cold pizza is better, but I believe rice, curry, soup, baked beans, noodles (incl. ramen) are all better and tastier cold. Not only is it less effort to heat left overs, flavours can develop but when food is hot you lose flavours. Also texturally more chewy!

I almost always have a cold bowl or wait for my food to cool down. I don't mean like warm, i mean actually cold like left on the side for 10-20 min

I never noticed how often i cook until i started living with roommates. These people eat once a day and they eat something like toast or takeout but I was raised on cooked food and do NOT have the money to eat out everyday so I cook🤷🏾‍♀️

They've never explicitly said anything except the weird racist one but i never took it to heart (she said everywhere stunk when i fried a flipping egg) but the others do hint that they're not used to the smell of someone cooking by opening the window or sighing when i start cooking.

You guys I don't even cook anything crazy fr, mostly jollof spag/rice, ramen or rice and stew. Mind you ofada is my favorite food but i've held myself back because even i know it's stinky.

Idk have other people of color experienced similar things?

[two of my roommates are poc and one is white]

I got these fresh mangoes free from my work place. We have about 6 mango trees.

Though, I hardly eat mangoes.
Will these be up to 1K currently?🤷‍♂️

Some eggs, chicken, and kamote fries.

I am southeast asian and I've been really loving everything he makes for me. They all feel so healthy to me and very well cooked too 🥹
