These are my go-to for me and my family. I also love making mojo soy curls and making tacos, burritos, enchiladas and just eating them with rice and beans. They are so good right out of the fridge as the texture is so meaty and satisfying.

Made these in the air fryer at 400 for about 15 minutes.

Used up my free bag of Sam’s taco crumbles from Butler for a quick and easy cinco de mayo dinner!
I've ordered these from Amazon several times. Overall, love them. But WTF is up with all the teeny tiny crumbs?
I was making jerky the other day and like 1/2 the bag was soy curl crumbs. Like fall through the dehydrator grate, bullshit, 1/32" crumbs. Hadn't paid much attention before since I was making stir fries and shit.
I could seriously use those little fuckers on about anything. They're little flavorful, gluten-free, bread crumb substitutes at this point.
Just placed an order through the company website. Will it be better? Is it old bad shit sent through Amazon? Or is this the nature of the product?
I can believe that I've been draining my curls for years wringing them between messy tearing paper towels. Today it dawned on me that I had these two identical shallow (3"x7.5") plastic strainers. I put one in the sink and dumped the hydrated curls inside then placed the other one on top and squeezed, using my thumbs. The broth ran out on both sides into the sink. No muss, no fuss, and perfectly drained soy curls
Is it good and worth the price? Are there other vegan chick'n style seasoning that is better and/or less expensive?
Trying to use up some stuff I have. Naan, tofu/lupin "egg", cheddar, and soy curls I soaked for a few minutes in water with random spices and liquid smoke, drained and patted dry. Thrown in a toaster oven until I got tired of waiting. Topped with black pepper, hot sauce, and nooch. Eating with esti lemon hummus. Honestly surprised with it and it might be a new breakfast go to!

Where does one buy a small amount, like one bag, of soy curls to try them out before committing to ordering in bulk direct from Butlers? I haven’t seen them in any grocery stores around me- is there an online source or do I just try to make a trip to a specialty organic food store?
Has anyone tried making breakfast sausage patties out of the soy curl dust. I thought about trying to do it but was hoping someone else had and could report back.
My first time actually cooking with soy curls, though I've eaten them before. Got the 12 pound box and split among some vegan friends.
I always rehydrate what looks like the right amount and then end up with waaaaay too many, OR I overcorrect and rehydrate too few.
(For what it's worth, even when rehydrate "too many," I somehow end up eating them all anyway, I'm just curious if anyone has a magic ratio that works for their recipes. )
I stupidly bought a 12 pound bag of soy curls in December 2024. I have been storing them in my fridge. If they don’t smell are they still okay to eat? Thanks!
