r/InternshipsIndia

i used to spend 1-2 hours every day cold mailing for internships. now it takes me 15 minutes.

Before i started my masters for internships my old workflow: open linkedin, find someone, guess their email, tweak a mail for their company, attach resume, send, log in a sheet. repeat. 1-2 hours a day, easy. now i scroll linkedin, send names + company to a whatsapp ai i set up, and it does the rest.

Figures out the email format from the company domain, drafts the mail with my master template, attaches my resume, sends, logs it in a tracker sheet. also tracks who replied and pings me to follow up.

i just forward profiles in between classes now. 2 replies in the first week, more than i got in a month of doing it the manual way. if you're a student grinding summer apps, set up something like this. genuinely the one thing i've stuck with.

Roast My Resume, Tell me what Is missing and Why I am not getting calls, 2027 Grad

I am a 3rd year CSE student getting into 4th year very soon, I have been actively applying from past 2 - 3 months. 250+ applications, 40% rejection, 15% 1st round (small startups), rest is silence

not even getting shortlisted after referral.

Not looking for generic advice. I genuinely don't know what's broken, whether it's the resume, the targeting, or something else entirely. Happy to hear hard truths.

Looking for an AI-savvy Product Intern

Looking for an AI-savvy intern to work with me on polishing and launching a couple of web apps where the coding and feature work is already done.

Important part: the coding and feature work is already done. I’m happy with what the products do. What I need now is someone who can help me with the layer after that, meaning:

  • making the UI/UX better
  • improving usability
  • thinking through product direction
  • understanding user psychology
  • doing customer / market research
  • helping with positioning, messaging, and launch thinking

In short, it’s about helping me make the product more usable, more understandable, and more ready for users.

What I’m looking for:

You do not need to be some super-experienced product manager or UX expert. I care more that you’re comfortable with AI and have a decent instinct for product, UX, research, customer thinking, or growth.

Basically, I’m looking for someone thoughtful, practical, and good at figuring things out. It’s about being an AI-powered problem solver.

You’ll use AI to research users, study competitors, think through usability, and help me spot what makes the product easier to understand and use.

I want this to be a collaborative working relationship. We’ll be working together on a daily basis. It’s a good opportunity to get a front-row seat to how product launch decisions get made and how products are shaped before they go out to users.

I’m willing to pay between 150-200 USD depending on the value you bring.

A bit about me:

I’ve spent several years working in tech, and I like working with people in a transparent, humble, and fun way. I’m not interested in micromanaging every minute. I care more about useful work, honest communication, and whether we work well together.

Also being honest: these are essentially hobby projects for me. I’m doing them because I enjoy building and learning, so your passion and attitude matter a lot to me.

If this sounds interesting, message me and tell me:

  • what kind of work you’ve done that feels relevant
  • why this role interests you
  • how you use AI when you’re trying to understand users or improve a product

And just so I know you actually read this:

If I showed you a product where all the features were already built, what are the first 3 things you’d check before saying it’s ready for users?

Need an internship for this resume

Hello guys I am currently a 3rd year cse student I don't know why my resume is getting rejected for the past 1 year can anyone please help me to improve my resume as my college wanted me to complete an Internship at any cost but I couldn't find one. If you feel that my resume is nice and fair enough please recruit me.

u/PsychologicalDeer710 — 10 hours ago

Finally landed an internship after looking for months

Honestly didn't think it was going to happen.

The thing that changed it wasn't my resume or my skills — I just got way more organized. Started keeping track of every application, every follow-up, who I emailed and when. Before that I was just sending stuff into the void and forgetting about it a week later.

Cold emailing also felt pointless to me at first but it ended up being how I got most of my responses. Took a lot of trial and error to figure out what to actually say.

Still can't believe it worked. Anyone else in the middle of recruiting right now?

Looking for an agentic AI intern ( 3 years of experience)

Hey everyone,

I’m currently looking for opportunities as an Agentic AI Engineer / Applied AI Intern and wanted to put myself out there.

I’m a CS student deeply interested in building AI systems that can reason, plan, use tools, automate workflows, and interact with real-world environments. Most of my focus has been around LLMs, AI agents, deep learning, backend systems, and practical AI applications.

Areas I’ve worked/studied in:

• LLMs & Transformers

• Agentic AI workflows

• RAG pipelines

• RLHF fundamentals

• Python, PyTorch

• APIs, backend & system design basics

• Prompt engineering & tool usage

• AI automation concepts

I enjoy going deep into how AI systems work under the hood and building things beyond tutorial-level projects.

Currently looking for:

• Agentic AI internships

• Applied AI internships

• GenAI / LLM engineering roles

If anyone is hiring, knows openings, or wants to connect, feel free to DM me.

Thanks!

Roast My Resume: 2027 Grad, Tell Me What I'm Missing

Third year IT student, entering 4th year soon. Been applying for the past 3 months, 500+ applications, got maybe 20 rejection emails. The rest is just silence.

Not looking for generic advice. I genuinely don't know what's broken, whether it's the resume, the targeting, or something else entirely. Happy to hear hard truths.

All metrics in the projects are real and verified.

Everyone says they are desperately looking for internships until someone actually offers one

Recently posted an internship opportunity for our salon brand. I clearly mentioned:
- What the work is
- What skills are needed
- What the pay is
- What the expectations are

Did it properly so nobody wastes their time or mine.

What happened next?
People read the full post, sent DMs saying “interested”, “I want this”, “please check DM” and then disappeared completely.

No reply.
No follow up.
No basic professionalism.

I genuinely want to understand this behavior.

If you are not interested after reading the details, that’s completely fine. But why DM first and then vanish when the conversation actually starts?

As a founder hiring interns, this is becoming more common than expected. People want opportunities, but very few want to take the next step seriously.

Curious if other founders/recruiters here are facing the same issue with internship hiring.

Got this “Full Stack Internship” interview message from Internshala — legit or suspicious?

Got this message through Internshala for a Full Stack internship and honestly it feels a bit weird to me.

They directly asked me to WhatsApp “YES I AM COMING” and send my CV there without any prior technical screening/interview.

Message I received:

“Dear,
We would like to schedule your interview for the Full Stack profile through INTERNSHALA at our Noida office. Please confirm your availability by replying ‘YES I AM COMING’ and attach your CV on this number.

Interview Schedule:
Available Dates: 20th May 2026
Timings: Between 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: [REDACTED]

Best Regards
[Company Name Hidden]”

A few things that felt off:

  • Generic automated message
  • Asked to send CV on WhatsApp
  • No recruiter email/company domain
  • No screening round before calling onsite
  • Mass-hiring type vibe

Has anyone else received similar messages from Internshala listings?
Is this normal startup hiring behavior or a possible scam/low-quality internship?

Advise me regarding On-site internship

I was approached by a electronics startup founder from hyderabad on linkedin, after seeing my projects. 15-20 people, 4 year old startup, legitimate with existing products.

So the thing is, I am from Goa and my uni's schedule is almost 2 months behind the IIT's (which all companies follow for internships).

They wanted an intern to start immediately, but due to my sem exam schedule they asked me to do part time till july (during exams) and 2 months on-site afterwards. Stipend is ~6k for remote and 15k for on site.

The company's domain isn't strictly in my field of interest but I dont mind it much.

How should I proceed with this? Is this practically feasible to travel and stay alone for internship? What more details should I ask?

Any feedback is appreciated.
