Beach club vs. Polynesian and club level?

Help me decide which resort to stay at for a week in November! Travelling with family 2 adults and 2 kids 8 and 12.

We are so torn on which resort to call home for a week.

Let me know what you love about each and why we should pick one over the other!

Love the location of Beach Club and the pool looks great - but maybe too big for our liking?

Love the vibes and the pool of the Polynesian as well.

Also, in your opinion is club level worth it?

We will most likely be early entry every day, so breakfast is out…

Last thing, should we split the stay? I’m not keen on this idea but maybe someone will change my mind.

Thanks y’all

I’m starting to think Disney Deluxe Resorts aren’t worth it

Stayed at the Polynesian. At $800 per night for a resort-view room, it just felt “meh” to me. The check-in area was a cattle call with no discernible way for the lines to be managed; the cast members were standing in groups of two or three talking while to line swelled; Captain Cook’s got my order wrong twice. The food at Kona Cafe was kind of gross. The buildings are not well marked and we wandered around with our luggage trying to find the entrance to Moorea. Asked a few cast members who kind of shrugged and gestured in a general direction. The buses took forever to come (four Hollywood studio buses in a row and a 40 minute wait for one to Animal Kingdom). They have a captive audience and folks will stay there again and again so they don’t have to be that good, but for a little bit more I would stay at the Four Seasons again and again.

CBR VS CONTEMPORARY

I know it's Mod vs Deluxe BUT

we originally had CBR booked. going with my husband, parents, 5 and 1 year old. we had adjoining rooms, preferred view. 4 days at the parks. we then found out the contemporary had a 1 bedroom villa (1 king, 1 queen, single pull out) with 2 bathrooms, kitchen, laundry, balcony for $1000 more for us. we would obviously be staying with my parents in the villa. do you think it's worth it??

for location and convenience alone I'm thinking yes? as far as additional costs, our flights are pretty much covered as we have gift cards and points. breakfast we'd do in the room every day besides character breakfast. lunch for the kids ill pack it and their snacks. I also don't eat a ton for lunch when doing rides and my mom has $1000 to use that can help with food

To Become a passholder...or not to become a passholder...that is the question...

From 2012 to 2020 me and my husband were passholders. 2020 hit...passes went away for us.

We finally bit the bullet and got the four day Florida resident deal this year. However, every day we have chosen to go, seemed like it was super crowded, more than I remember before Covid. I researched and this seems like the norm now, but I would love to be wrong.

We went in February 7th and 8th. Wasn't terrible but Hollywood Srudio rides were slammed with over one hour waits. We went to Epcot this weekend and I forgot about the run. Very packed. Over 1.5 hour waits for rides and food lines were insane. However many weekends in March was spring break so I avoided.

We are supposed to do Animal kingdom this weekend...but I am having second thoughts and may take a day off to go on a weekday in hopes its better.

We are debating passes again, but I am hesitant. I feel very out of my element. Before we used to just get up and go and now it seems more stressful. Do any Florida passholders have advice to navigate the parks as passholders? Are passes worth it now or is it always crowded nd overwhelming? Am I just doing something wrong? I assume I am.

Animal kingdom with toddlers at tuskers dinning

Animal kingdom with a 14 month old and 18 month old dinning experience at Tuskers . We want to be able to do all of the rides, ride swap, etc. Do we have time to sit down at tuskers around 10:30 for breakfast? Is it worth it or would we possibly miss out on attractions and activities since we would be tied up there for 1 to 2 hours dining. Thanks for any advice in planning our day.

Best Room Polynesian Resort View

I remember scrolling through Reddit, or another social media page where someone had posted about the best resort view room. It seemed to be a little bit of a secret or hidden room that had lake and Castle views, but with the resort view, title, and price tag.

Does anyone have any particular room numbers that ring this bell? Thanks in advance.

Is a last minute family trip to Disney World doable?

Hello! My husband has 2 weeks off from a pretty intense doctorate program, and this might be our last chance for a family vacation in 3 years. His break just started. We’re thinking of visiting Disney World since my son loves Mickey Mouse lately. The amount of information about hotels and parks is incredibly overwhelming though, and I thought I would pose the question on if a last minute visit is doable without breaking the bank? We have a 3 year old and a 3 month old, so we were thinking staying in the parks would be easiest for afternoon naps and breaks. We would be driving from Nashville area. We both have never been to Disney World. What are your recommendations on where to stay and tips and tricks for best places with a feisty toddler? Is there a place to begin to plan or any deals to look into. Thanks for any and all information!

Port Orleans Riverside or The Swan

Hey everyone! My boyfriend and I are planning our first trip to Disney World and can’t decide where to stay. We’re stuck between Port Orleans Riverside and The Swan.

I’ve heard The Swan is closer to several parks, but we don’t mind taking buses or other transportation. We’re really just looking for the best overall Disney experience with great amenities.

We don’t personally know anyone who’s been, so most of our research has honestly been from TikTok. So if you’ve stayed at either (or even if you’ve just done a lot of research), we’d really appreciate your input! Which would you recommend and why?

Deluxe Resort Robes?

If anyone is staying at the Grand Floridian, I’d be really grateful if you could get a picture of the tags on the robes they provide in the closets (NOT the thick spa ones or the fuzzy ones they sell in the gift shop). I know the brand is Chadsworth & Haig but I’d love to know if they use a specific model. It’s a thinner material with a waffle texture. I am kicking myself for forgetting to write it down before we checked out earlier this month.

They might supply the same ones at all deluxe resorts because the Boardwalk front desk is actually who found the brand for me.

I ordered the two closest-looking ones from the manufacturer website and I can’t decide if either one is the true match.

Gravity Falls Mystery Twins Mystery Tour- Fort Wilderness & Wilderness Lodge (Concept)

Hi, so back in 2023 I came up with an idea to have a Gravity Falls scavenger hunt take place at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. And Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort. It would have guests spend a day out of the parks enjoying the natural beauty of the resorts and trails. Trying to figure out hidden clues scattered throughout the two resorts. And by completing it, they would receive an exclusive Disney Trading Pin of Bill Cipher enjoying his first visit to WDW.

The backstory would be the twins following Bill sightings and trying to figure out what he’s up too. But it ends up he’s just a tourist like all of us.
