Is a last minute family trip to Disney World doable?

Hello! My husband has 2 weeks off from a pretty intense doctorate program, and this might be our last chance for a family vacation in 3 years. His break just started. We’re thinking of visiting Disney World since my son loves Mickey Mouse lately. The amount of information about hotels and parks is incredibly overwhelming though, and I thought I would pose the question on if a last minute visit is doable without breaking the bank? We have a 3 year old and a 3 month old, so we were thinking staying in the parks would be easiest for afternoon naps and breaks. We would be driving from Nashville area. We both have never been to Disney World. What are your recommendations on where to stay and tips and tricks for best places with a feisty toddler? Is there a place to begin to plan or any deals to look into. Thanks for any and all information!
