I’m starting to think Disney Deluxe Resorts aren’t worth it

Stayed at the Polynesian. At $800 per night for a resort-view room, it just felt “meh” to me. The check-in area was a cattle call with no discernible way for the lines to be managed; the cast members were standing in groups of two or three talking while to line swelled; Captain Cook’s got my order wrong twice. The food at Kona Cafe was kind of gross. The buildings are not well marked and we wandered around with our luggage trying to find the entrance to Moorea. Asked a few cast members who kind of shrugged and gestured in a general direction. The buses took forever to come (four Hollywood studio buses in a row and a 40 minute wait for one to Animal Kingdom). They have a captive audience and folks will stay there again and again so they don’t have to be that good, but for a little bit more I would stay at the Four Seasons again and again.
