Tool/Spare holder for S5, P5 and Soloist
I’m pretty stoked on how this turned out. The wheel-well turned out slick.
What do you think ?
Aspero or Caledonia?
I know there are 30 other people asking this in the forum but I wanted to ask it for the 31st time.
That said maybe my situation is slightly different. I am trying to decide between a Caledonia with Sram Force or a Aspero with Rival and a second wheel set with road tires.
I currently own a Salsa Journeyer which I plan to keep for chunky gravel or leisure rides.
Recently I started doing more fitness rides and am potentially going to start prepping for a Ironman and triathlons.
I also live in Southern Maine where roads are somewhat junky, there are also quite a few hard packed trails to link roads together I like to ride.
Which would be a better bike for me given I’ll keep the journeyer.
My New Caledonia is done!
I’ve been buying the parts for this bike for the last two years (hence the NBD moniker on a 2023 model), and I finally assembled it over the past week. While I’ve been riding Ultegra 11speed di2 for years, this is my first 12 speed, my first tubeless, and my first disc brake bike. I think it will be a totally new riding experience compared to what I’ve been used to.
Specs include:
Enve SES 3.4 tubeless
GP5000 32mm tubeless tires
Coefficient RR aero bars
Redshift Pro 110mm stem
Infinity EX1 saddle
Enve 2 bolt seat post
Shimano Ultegra 8170 12 speed with 50/34 crankset and 11-34 cassette
Soloist cockpit upgrade.
Just picked up my soloist with new integrated reserve cockpit. Apparently there is not a Cervelo one. Although someone here told me to put the R5 one on. The bike is 2025 model. I bought the base model with mechanical 105. So far I have upgraded the wheels and went tubeless, added ultegra electric gearing, changed the gear set for climbing and now the cockpit. Would've been cheaper to go top of the range from beginning. 😂 can't wait to try it out.
N.S.D. New Saddle Day
Had my eyes on the Ryet ultimate 3D saddle, but it has mixed reviews. Decided to splurge on a Pro Stealth 3D performance saddle. No pain on the first 3 hour-ish (80 km) test. The most comfortable saddle i have owned period. My Caledonia was craving for the seaside b.t.w.😅
I'm a beginner cyclist and currently ride a Trek Domane SL5. I'm touching 50 and have worked at a desk job for 25+ years. 97kg. 175cm. My Trek is feeling sluggish and although comfortable I'm yearning for a Cervelo. I won't be able to shake the itch.
However as much as I'd love a Soloist amd my heart says Soloist, I'm worried about the Geometry being too aggressive and my head is saying Caledonia 5. But there's also a voice in me questioning why I'd get 'another' endurance bike. My reasoning for the Caledonia is that although it's endurance it'll feel way more racier and faster than my domane.
So my question is, I suppose, head or heart? Is the Soloist too much for someone in my condition with limited flexibility and should I just get the Caledonia as it'll hopefully feel like a race bike compared to my Domane?
Thanks.
Following my previous post (thanks for the advices !), full cockpit change today with an ST31 stem and HB16 handlebar.
Any computer mount recommendations ? Are the previous gen S5 compatible ? There are a lot on aliexpress but totally unable to tell if it will be ok.
Thanks !
For everyone who’s been wondering whether a 50 mm tire fits in the front of the Cervélo Aspero 2025: yes, it does! Haven’t tested the rear yet, but it’s already insanely fast with the 45 mm RS in the back.
Hey guy, like the title says I’m a bike noob. I’ve completed my first marathon with better results that i expected, now I’m Ironman hungry. From the research I’ve done this seems to be a decent deal but don’t hurt to reach out to the Reddit community. The real experts.
Listing description, seller is very responsive so send questions I should ask.
This bike is absolutely awesome but it's time to let it go. Has only been ridden a handful of times outside (like ~5 times). Always kept indoors. Has a new DI2 battery for electronic shifting, and just put fresh Continental 5000 tires on.
All carbon, electronic shifting, and carbon Zipp 404 wheels front and back. This bike rips.

New Bike - need recommendations
Just picked this bike up from a local shop used. Really excited to get more into riding but wanted to see if I’m maybe missing any key upgrades. I know I need new pedals so I can run clips so that’s definitely on the list. Tires are 23s but it seems I can run 28s if I want so was thinking about that upgrade. Again very much new to this so not too concerned with high end performance, really just want to make it enjoyable to ride and relatively durable.
I have some minor stuff on the way such as rear light, a bag for the seat post.
Could also use some recs for bibs/shorts.
I hate those paint jobs
I’m pretty convinced that c just wants to save the money for a good paint shop for the R5 Weight. This is just bullshit. In my opinion those hundred grams you could just go one time to the toilet and flush it away. This black looks so awfully boring and not classy at all. I hate it so much so I don’t buy a R5 anymore. Bye-bye cervelo. The best joke is black silver and then black with gold letters. What the

On the Cervelo website the Caledonia with SRAM Red groupset is listed as 470g heavier than the Dura Ace, which seems suspicious to me given that the Red groupset is actually slightly lighter. I reached out to customer support who confirmed the difference, but I'm not convinced by the answer given that the components listed are typically part of the group set weight. I'd be pretty shocked if it's actually correct, given how much people are paying for small weight differences when it comes to top end bikes with Dura Ace / Red groupsets.
What am I looking at?
What model do we think this is and is it worth saving?
My 2020 R5 has been, hands down, the best bike that I have ever ridden, but age and injuries have caught up to me, and I can no longer handle the slammed stem...so here's to hoping that this one is just as good!
I simply swapped everything over from my previous build (surprised I was able to make the 1st gen Black Inc Barstem work)
- 11sp Ultegra Di2, with Quarq power meter
- Roval Rapide CLX (1st gen)
- Black Inc Barstem
- Conti GP5000
- Dura Ace pedals
- Pro Stealth saddle

Has someone tried to fit 50mm tires on a small aspero?
I think there might be space, but I am not entirely sure it would work. I have xplr wheels and enve 3.4. I had some run close to 47 and no good on mud. But, maybe for dry gravel?
2023 R5
What is the max you would pay for a great condition 2022-23 R5. Rebuilt groupset (SRAM Force), power meter, OG Handlebars, new 34/37 reserves, aftermarket saddle.
