I was doing these outside while you were at the gym looking pretty with that damn bird chest doing GIRLY SETS! You might as well become a video vixen bro. GO OUTSIDE and put them reps down!!! NO GIRLY SETS!

Hit a major personal milestone today :)

I've been at this since June 2025, and today I finally decided the time had come to give 40kg or 88lbs (for you eagle per square gun people) a shot. It went better then expected 🥳

How can someone do calisthenics when they lack strength and flexibility?

I really want to get in shape but also work on getting stronger, flexible and overall improve mobility. Like I guess most people spend majority of time sitting on a desk.

How do I get my torso more parallel to the ground?

When training the FL, how do you make sure that your torso is parallel without filming every time?

Pull up form

Hello seeking advice on how to progress pull ups

this is where im at with them after a couple weeks. I feel like I struggle to really get over the bar at the top.

if anyone could recommend some exercises to get better at full range of motion. I have been doing the scapular pull and I feel better at the bottom of the movement than at the top.

also if anyone could recommend movement for lat development, I would like to be able to do ice cream makers eventually, but i suspect im just too heavy rn (212lb)

I am cutting so this will get easier I hope.

[Beginner in Calisthenics] Need help building a Full-Body routine, understanding progression, and hypertrophy (M23, 1.80m/5'11", 63kg/139lbs)

Hey everyone! I’m completely new to calisthenics (just started a couple of days ago) and would love some advice. I finally decided to jump in because there’s a calisthenics park right by my house, and honestly, the fact that it’s free is a huge plus.

My stats & current level:

Im a 23-year-old guy, 1.80m (5'11") and weigh 63kg (139 lbs), so I'm quite skinny right now. As a reference for my baseline strength, I can currently hold a parallel bar support hold for about 30 seconds.

I’ve been watching a ton of videos and I understand the basic concepts: doing 3 sets of 8-10 reps and then applying progressive overload (like moving to harder variations or changing leverage instead of just doing endless reps). However, I’m suffering from information overload.

I have two main questions:

1. How do you actually learn to structure a routine and progress?

I haven't found a straightforward guide that says, "Here are the 6 basic exercises you need for a full-body routine." But more importantly, I want to learn the *methodology*. How do you guys learn to build your own full-body routines? And how do you know exactly *when* it's time to progress to a harder variation or swap exercises? Are there any specific resources, books, or rules of thumb you recommend for learning this?

2. Can you actually get big (hypertrophy) with pure calisthenics?

Is it possible to build significant muscle mass strictly with bodyweight training? I see some creators with insane strength and conditioning, but they don't look very bulky, and my main goal right now is to build mass.

Thanks in advance for reading and for any advice you can share!

workout duration and feedback

How long does your workout take? and how are you after? I mean level of fatigue, pump or tiredness.
based on type of workout
for example when I train endurance I feel my muscles heavy and swole, but when I train strength I feel less muscular fatigue and more "mental" fatigue like low reacitivity or similar.

Feel free to comment or tell me if I wasn't clear. any suggestion helps (even with my english lol)

thanks

Hitting some Tiger Bends

I haven't done Tiger Bends for a few years. Glad the muscle memory stays with me despite not practicing the skill.

How can I get stronger in pull ups without doing weighted pull ups

I do pull ups twice per week, I can do 23 pull ups and I want to get stronger in pull ups but I don't have weights, I tried doing Pause reps like 3-4 seconds on top hold for 8-12 reps but now I feel bored of pause reps. I am also training for FL and following Doctor yaad's front lever tutorial program in which after front lever progression I have to do pull ups 8-12 rep range. Now I do an easier variation of archer pull up like pulling side to side. I want to get stronger which means I want to get more pulling strength for the front lever and muscle ups. Will doing archer pull up and getting good at it help me in achieving more pulling strength like getting good at muscle ups and progressing in front lever. Also I am not very good at muscle ups so I can only do it when fresh and with a good amount of kip.
