These were free. About to be dumped
Mostly Jazz. Many still sealed. Mingus, Monk, Miles, Coltrane, + a few Zappa & Beefheart thrown in to make it even sweeter.

These were a buck each. Couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw Burnt Weenie Sandwich and Anthem Of The Sun in there. Cactus is a great album, too (not to mention all the other fantastic albums!). Most days I just walk in and walk out, but got pretty lucky yesterday.
It’s my birthday today, and this is probably the best birthday gift I could give myself. I found this stuffed between some Herbie Mann and Duke Ellington records. Almost put it back before I checked Discogs. Couldn’t believe the prices. Only cost me $18! This is my best score, and I don’t think much will ever top this, if at all.
Most of these are recent re-presses, but at $2 each, it was no-brainer!
I got the Mode records in the cheap bins and the Minnie record I got for $15 which is a steal for me
Stopped in at local Goodwill and found this darling - original single-box-Impulse-logo copy of Alice Coltrane’s Ptah.
Love when a store has $2-$10 gems (imo) throughout their jazz section. Call out one of your fave places to find with cheap heat!!!
I’ve been looking for a nice condition copy of this for years. When I saw this absolutely TRASHED sleeve (2 split seams, terrible ringwear, etc.) I knew there was little chance of a playable record. Miraculously, it’s practically perfect! Overjoyed to finally spin an original pressing of this gem.
I love this album so much. I’ve almost bought the reissue of this album new a couple times, but decided not to for whatever reason.
I went to the record store yesterday and saw this 1981 pressing in the new used bin. Sticker said “kinda ruff,” and it was priced accordingly at $8. I decided why not buy it. I spun it as soon as I got home, and it indeed sounded terrible. I ran it through the Spin-Clean, and wow!!! What a huge difference a wash made! I wish I would’ve taken a picture of it before washing. It still looks all scratched up, but it sounds pretty good now! I’m still super stoked about this score! I had to listen to it again this morning while I got ready for work. This album was so far ahead of its time!!
I went back to the store I found an $8 promo copy of Eugene McDaniel’s Headless Heroes and decided to dig their $3 bins and got really lucky again! The Breakwater and Vibrations were $1 each and the Grahame Bond was $8. Everything else was $3 each or 2 for $5! I don’t think I’ll have this type of luck for a long while so I’m enjoying it while it lasts!
Flea market pick. Didn’t even realize that it’s a demo until I got home. Is it a rare one?
All records $1. Some covers need a bit of love but records all in great condition.
