I’ve been looking for a nice condition copy of this for years. When I saw this absolutely TRASHED sleeve (2 split seams, terrible ringwear, etc.) I knew there was little chance of a playable record. Miraculously, it’s practically perfect! Overjoyed to finally spin an original pressing of this gem.
I can’t tell you how sad it makes me when a KILLER jazz collection hits the shelves at the thrift, and the CDs are too cigarette smoke-damaged to even think about bringing home. It’s morbid, but my mind immediately goes to, “I’ll bet I know how this collection ended up here, and how they died”.
I found an amazing jazz and blues haul, and this was the only one that was only slightly smoke damaged. I’ve never owned this one on CD before…about to give it it’s first play.
