REL Sub found at Goodwill
Looking around at one my local Goodwills yesterday and found this towards the back door to the warehouse. This is an REL Stadium Mk.I, and from research uses an old style 3-pin DIN interconnect prior to the Neutrik connector, and I figured for $20 it was worth a try. The cabinet is a liitle rough, and it looks like it was probably stored in somebody's garage, as most of the exposed metal bits have some oxidation. The cone and surround are in remarkably good condition. I have gone ahead and hooked this up. It definitely works, and adds susbstantial low end to my system. My only issue is that there is a bad hum when I turn the amp off, like it isn't grounded. The hum goes away when the amp is on, or I turn the sub off. Any ideas?
