Oh Well....
I have the McBean Stay. Today, my caseworker from the congresswoman office forwarded the uscis response to my expedite request submitted in March citing the ban again!!!!

I received a silent update yesterday and via Emma found out I have moved onto the interview stage. My case is i485, i130, i765. Married to USC. Filed in November 2025. I had received one silent update on December 23rd on all 3 cases then silence. I even applied to expedite in January but immediately denied because of being born in 39 countries. (Dual citizen from Canada).
On 4/21 I uploaded a employment offer letter and a letter from the entity for physicians asking for National Interest Exemption (NIE). This was all onto the i765.
On 4/22 I noticed a API silent update for i485 and i130. I went on Emma live agent three times. The first one she said she cant give updates and I'd need to call. 2nd and 3rd one said I am in line for an interview, still in NBC.
Likely this is because of the documents I uploaded randomly (without requesting expedite) but possibly could be due to congressional vs senator inquiry OR are policies unofficially changing and exceptions are being made...
Also, I'm aware some people say interviews take place but final decision is not made so please don't repeat this. My intention is to get others to make some moves on their accounts (document/proof of urgency upload, inquiries, etc.) and also post on here if any new updates on their files.
Also, I joined Red Eagle yesterday for i765 group lawsuit but now wondering if that's necessary.
Thanks!!! :D
How do you guys feel about filing individual lawsuits?
Hello guys,
I just submitted i-485 a few days ago but I receive a silent update everyday. Since I’ve been seeing people get excited with these type of updates, I was wondering if this is common at the beginning specially since I’m from 19? Anyone has recently the same experience.
Has anyone from the 39 countries seen a silent update on his I-485 form today?
I was checking in with my doctor today and was just giving her a general update when I randomly burst into tears when talking about the hold lol. And like respectfully therapy will not lift this hold. I already deal with major anxiety and mild depression and she’s so concerned and at the same time I’m so tired of my husband and friends constantly having to make me feel better lol. I don’t like telling them how I’m actually doing because I don’t want to seem so needy and complain all the time like they didn’t create the list of countries. I also have a minor surgery coming up that I don’t think is a big deal but everyone around me thinks I’m downplaying it(in the grand scheme of things it feels like the smallest of deals like I still can’t work, I can’t travel, I lost the first chunk of my 20s to the pandemic and now I’m losing the last of them to this hold so this procedure does not feel like a very big deal). I’ll have a decent day and then I’ll remember the gravity of my situation and the fact that my peers are passing me while I twiddle my thumbs and lose my mind a little more and then a whole day has passed where I barely got out of bed. Tearing up a little as I write this but I won’t let the bastards get me down lol 😭💀😽
Kameli has already received a TRO on another lawsuit and is adding more plaintiffs to the current lawsuit.
Mcbean has received a stay just a month after filing whether idk if this means any adjudication before the PI or it just lead to internal processing.
RE has received a PI on I-765 group (if i'm not mistaken) but I think I don't fit to their lawsuit with bunch of pending applications that I have.
Immpact seems decent but they have been extending deadlines on previous groups and there has not been an outcome on first litigation which filed on Jan/30.
Do you guys have any idea? I have pending I-140, and AOS package. I'm not going to fall out of status but personally it's a matter of time to me.
If you’re one of those people thinking this will last until ‘29, could you explain your logic? There are a bunch of mass action lawsuits, one trying to vacate the policy, and a class action coming up.
Do you believe that all lawsuits will fail AND the admin won’t lift anything?
I’m personally of the belief that they will lift it by end of year but they will have created new ways to reject our petitions (“country specific factors”).
Found this that was submitted today by some senators. Hope this can help us!!
I’ve been trying to understand what might happen with the ban affecting Venezuela.
From what I’ve read, the policy (expanded to 39 countries and effective January 2026) requires a review every 180 days, which should fall around mid-June 2026. From my understanding, that review can lead to countries being removed, added, or reclassified.
At the same time, it seems like the relationship between the U.S. and Venezuela has been shifting recently. There are reports of travel advisories improving, flights potentially resuming soon, and discussions about reopening diplomatic presence.
Given all of that, do you think there’s a realistic chance that Venezuela could see restrictions eased or lifted in this upcoming review? Or are these reviews usually more of a formality where things stay the same unless there’s a major policy change?
Curious to hear from anyone following immigration policy closely or who has seen how these reviews have played out in the past.
hi guys sorry if this has already been answered. i am looking to join a lawsuit. immpact is $2500, mcbean is $1500. does anyone who has already joined one of these lawsuits have any additional information they can share and what drew them to join?
i have pending i-765 and i821d (daca).
I know mcbean is cheapest, but I heard immpact has handled more litigation cases before?
additionally, time is a huge factor of course and i dont know if there’s any mention of the speed of things between the two. my job is at risk and i have 3 months
Has anyone traveled domestically by air since Dec 2nd memo with your passport from 39 countries? No real ID or driver's license. Did you see any hiccup? Would you advise domestic travel against this?
I know they’re tough and competent, but if they make an error, we’re screwed.
I’m currently stuck in the I-765 OPT hold and waiting for my approval. If there’s any group chat or community for people in the same situation, I’d really appreciate it if someone could add me or point me to it.
Just looking to stay updated and connect with others going through this. Thanks!

If someone from one of the restricted/banned countries is in the U.S. on J-1, has a J-1 waiver pending, and the employer files H-1B before the waiver is approved, does that help them stay in the U.S. legally if the J-1 expires first?
Or do they still need final USCIS approval of the J-1 waiver before there is any real protection?
Timestamp update on my birthday, i already attended my interview for the i-485 and the i-130 marriage based, it is just a coincidence?
Hi everyone, I’m really looking for some guidance because I’m trying to figure out the smartest next step.
I’ve had DACA for about 14 years and never had issues renewing (I’ve been here since I was a small child). I submitted my latest renewal on November 20, 2025, before this whole situation with the 39 countries started. My case is still pending, and now I’m being told it might be affected by this pause. My DACA/work permit expires May 23rd, so this is getting really stressful.
At the same time, I got married and we submitted my adjustment of status last week. USCIS received it about five days ago, so I know it’s very new, but I’m worried it could also get stuck because of the same issue.
I’ve been looking into the McBean lawsuit about the USCIS adjudication pause, and I’m trying to figure out if that’s something I should even consider right now.
My question is: If I were to join a lawsuit, would it make more sense to do it for my DACA/work permit since that’s been pending since November and is urgent, or for my adjustment of status?
My instinct is that the adjustment case might be too new, but I’m not sure.
For context, my husband is in the military and works in federal law enforcement.
Should I wait a bit longer or start thinking about litigation now? And which case would even make more sense to base it on?
Thank you so much for reading all of this in advance. Hugs to everyone going through this very stressful time. 🫶🏻
Has anyone gotten their I-140 approved since this USCIS pause was implemented?
