Creating an MTV look
I’m hoping to get some advice on how to create the early 2000’s MTV look. I’m pretty new to video editing. I’ve got daVinci or are there apps that can do this? Thx
Y2K Video editor (Hiring)
I am looking for someone who works with a 90s/y2k video aesthetic or understands it well already, to potentially to edit for me weekly so I can focus more on the creating/filming side.
These are shorts, 2 person dialogue scenes under 1 minute. These are a couple of slightly different example as I will be doing both, of what I am looking for. https://youtu.be/zpTTrP-srRM?si=DUR1C7tlsJM4m-av
The basic edit would be completed by me, as in cutting pieces together, to then send to you to style it. Currently shooting in rec 709.
Note that the YouTube video is nearly purely 35mm (not vhs) so you will need to be familiar with how to do this, not just apply a preset which can look messy and is often well overdone. Dvinici or similar will be needed.
$65 a video. Not doing samples.
Want to to be in a short video this week (Paid)
Hey guys. I am looking for a second girl as part of a short video I am shooting this coming week in Melbourne, called Almost Famous.(Rebels looking to be discovered) It's part of a new series I am doing for Instagram, all under 1 minute. Just me shooting.
If you're between 21 and 26, have more of a rebel or alternative vibe to you, and own any form of y2k fashion, feel free to message me with your instagram. I'll be shooting this at 3pm on a day this week (can work in with you and other talent) and the pay will be $80.
It will take 1 - 1/2 hrs to shoot, and you will also have 3-4 lines of dialogue, which is easy to learn on the day :)

How to add a tag is required to post
I am new to discord and are trying to post a job for something, but it won't allow me without a tag, which it seems like is just peoples names. How do I do this? Thanks
(Hiring Part Time) Y2K Video editor
Hey there. I am looking for someone who can edit in a 90s/y2k video aesthetic, for short form filmmaking content on Instagram. (Nostalgic, not modern 4k) Up to 1 minute. If you use tik tok you will have seen this trend.
With these pieces you do not need to edit them, as that will be done by me (music and cuts), though being creative will be beneficial to keeping the audience engaged.
If you have experience wth this specific style already, (I need to see this) and also know videos editing, it would be good to hear from you. There is potential for weekly work. It will be $70 per piece.
These are a couple of different examples as I will be doing, both of what I am looking for. https://pin.it/1dI9QcAl2 - https://youtu.be/eLUe32feLu0?si=X8a42aX8IuW-lO1t
If you have work that relates to this/these style, leave dm below, and I will message you.

Where to find freelance video editors
For those of you who do freelance video editing, what websites do you use or find best. I want to post some jobs on some, where I can also view peoples work to. I have seen behance, and dribble. Are there any others? Thx
I have recently bought 1 month to trial Davinci on blackmagic. I have logged in through it when opening it, though once I try and drag film look creator onto a node it tells me I have reached my limitation. Does anyone know how I can use it so this doesn't happen. Thnankyou
Does anyone here edit their videos with more of this 90s camcorder style, whether it be through luts or added filters, when shot on a digital camera. I’m hoping to do something like this. I haven’t come across anything good online yet. Not really looking to buy a camcorder due to other stuff I also film. Thanks
I’m hoping to get some recommendations on which field monitor to get for this camera, that is good and won’t break the bank. I am also needing to use the mic output at times, so how could I do this? If it helps, I’m using a 16 mm lens on this camera. I’m pretty new to all this. Thanks
I am quite new to filmmaking, and are currently shooting in I think lts called rec 709. Not log. If I apply luts afterwards, will they still be effective or am I missing out on how good they will look? Every example I see with film grading always shows log before the lut.
My Instagram account is pretty new and I’ve uploaded a video which got one like, though I did get compliments from the person who was in it that by dm who I filmed. I’ve just logged out of my account, so I don’t get hung up on it, until I upload something again. How do you guys handle situations like this?
