Hi! 44M in the EST time zone. I play all kinds of games but lately been playing a lot of Final Fantasy XIV.

And I’m a little late to the game, but I just discovered Subnautica. I really am enjoying it!

I know the real answer is “try the demo on both” but wanted to get some real world impressions.

I want to get MH Stories 3. Was leaning Switch 2, but how is the average case performance?

Portability is not a factor if I get it on PC because I also have a Lenovo Legion Go S to play on the go.

What platform would you recommend getting it on? Obviously PC has more power but I’m wondering if the switch version is still good enough to get it on there.

I've tried to get into the mainline Monster Hunter games but I found the many game mechanics to be overwhelming. I made it about 10 hours into Wilds, but eventually gave up on it.

I am a big fan of RPGs, both turn based and real time. Some games I've enjoyed:

• Final Fantasy 7 (Remake+Rebirth), 14, 15, 16
• Baldur's Gate 3
• Pillars of Eternity 2 Deadfire
• Rogue Trader

The game looks great and the universe seems cool. Will I like it as an RPG if the core Monster Hunter games didn't click with me?

Hey everyone! I’m a 44-year-old gamer dad from Massachusetts looking to meet some genuine long-term friends to chat/game/hang out with on Reddit or Discord.

I’m pretty nerdy across the board. Lately I’ve been deep into a Final Fantasy kick (currently bouncing between FFXIV and FFX), but I love RPGs in general.
