What games would you recommend me?

Feeling like I'm running out of stuff to play so figured I'd ask here. Here's what I've finished and actually liked:

God of War 2018 & Ragnarök, Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Yotei, Uncharted 1–4, The Last of Us Remastered, Spider-Man 1–2 & Miles Morales, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order & Survivor, Black Myth: Wukong, Death Stranding, Detroit: Become Human, Hogwarts Legacy, Horizon Zero Dawn & Forbidden West, Red Dead Redemption 2, Cyberpunk 2077, FF VII Remake & Rebirth, Crisis Core Reunion, FF XIII, FF XV, FF XVI, Tales of Arise, Persona 5, Trails in the Sky, Octopath Traveler 2, Dragon Quest XI, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Kingdom Hearts III, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Zelda BotW & TotK, Lies of P, Nioh Trilogy, Furi, Hades, Dead Cells, Cuphead, Guardians of the Galaxy

I know it's a lot. But basically, my taste comes down to good story, good characters, and combat that actually feels good. Mostly single-player. I mainly play action RPGs and story-driven games but I'm not picky as long as the combat feels good and the story is good.

I have PC, PS5, and Switch 2 so the games have to be available there.

Thanks.

SIB Diablo 4 (+DLCs)?

I remember hearing on launch D4 had some good bones, but the overall package was a bit lackluster. How is it these days? I've got a craving for a good ARPG and Diablo is the original, after all.

Specifically, I'm looking for a loot grind that can plausibly be done by one person playing for fun. I know that's the endgame and I'm looking forward to it, but I don't necessarily want to be at an auction house or running for weeks for a single worthwhile drop. Part of the reason I'm asking is because I don't quite have the time to commit to a Path of Exile league these days, as much as I enjoy that game.

Also how's the monetization? I don't mind if the DLCs are pretty much mandatory to round out the package, but are there microtransactions, and what for? Are there character slot/save dtat limits?

Finally, how's the actual gameplay? Is there good class and build variety or is there just one meta everyone will tell you to get on?

Chill Incremental Games

Im a fan of the "start game by doing task slowly, use money from completing task to do task faster and better for more money" gameplay loop. Kind of like clicker games except I want to be more engaged and less reliant on having to AFK for days straight to progress.

Leaf blower revolution was a pretty fun one for a while and I sunk almost 100 hours into it. But again as I got towards midgame the grind became wayy too reliant on afking for hours at a time to make tiny progress.

Should I buy Tomodachi Life Living the Dream if I enjoy Animal Crossing New Horizons?

So I got animal crossing few weeks ago, but I’ve only played a bit of it with me getting increasingly addicted recently. Is it worth getting Tomodachi Life living the dream at all or is animal crossing the superior kind of game. Which do you like better? Animal crossing or Tomodachi life, or both? It’s an expensive game so I’m trying to find out if it’s worth it.

Nier automata worth it?

Hey, so I was planning to buy the evil within 1+2 and the Hitman dlc, but what happened was that I discovered in the recent sale that Nier automata is on sale, but the evil within isn’t. So I was wondering, should I use the extra money to buy Nier automata? As it’s basically the same price as both evil withins. I want you to keep in mind that since the next sale will start at the end of this month. I CAN get another gift card for the evil within, but obviously, I can keep the money for it if I don’t buy Nier automata instead, so is Nier automata worth it? Also, if I should buy it, can someone explain to me what the routes are exactly? There’s apparently a route A,B,C and D.

Elden Ring, Crimson Desert, vs Dragonage

Hello!

I’m looking for my next game.

I can’t decide which to play next.

It’s between Crimson Desert, Elden Ring, and Dragonage Veilguard

Please rate these games from best to worst.

Games I’ve played and loved in the past: Hogwarts Legacy, World of Warcraft, New World, Marvels Spider-Man, Jedi Survivor, and all Half-Life games (my personal favorite)

Thanks for your help!

Is Expedition 33 for me if I dont like parry systems?

I reslly enjoyed the Persona trilogy and wanted to try out more turn-based games which led me to Expedition 33, but I heard it has a parry system which kinda rubbed me off the wrong way. I dont mind parry systems in video games but only if they are used as an option by the player and its 100% possible to beat the game without it like in Dead Cells for example. I recently finished played Nine Sols after hearing it was like Hollow Knight and didn't enjoy the combat all too much since they its focused on parrying enemies over and over, which I just found kinda annoying. Do you think this game would be for me or no?

Crimson Desert, Saros or Pragmata?

Looking to treat myself after getting paid this week. Not sure where to place my hard earned cash. I love open world games but do tend to rely on a story to keep me going - so I’m skeptical about CD. Saros looks amazing, but I never played Returnal, so again I’m unsure. Pragmata also, though short, from what I read, looks like a lot of fun. I’m paralysed by choice. Any thoughts or advice? Cheers x

[WSIB, pls read the whole thing] a survival rpg where the gameplay loop is designed around journeys?

I'm Looking for a very specific type of survival/travel game. I’m trying to find a game that captures a really specific feeling.

I want a game where you play as a traveler/survivor moving through a harsh or desolate world. The important part is that the gameplay loop is centered around JOURNEYS between settlements/camps/cities rather than building a permanent base.

I don’t really want a pure sandbox survival game because I usually end up feeling directionless in those. I want there to be an actual structure, story, progression, and ending.

What I’m imagining is something like:

* preparing at a settlement

* stocking up on supplies/resources

* setting out on a dangerous journey

* surviving the wilderness/trip

* finally reaching the next safe place and feeling relieved

* talking to NPCs, doing side quests, upgrading gear/character, accepting jobs/contracts, etc.

I also really don’t want combat to be the main focus. I’d prefer if combat felt dangerous and avoidable rather than something you constantly seek out. Like maybe avoiding bandits, negotiating, sneaking around threats, or only fighting as a last resort.

The closest feeling I’ve found was Death Stranding 1. I loved the loneliness, the preparation, and the tension of travel. But I’m looking for something where the survival aspect stays threatening for the whole game and doesn’t become too easy/power fantasy later on.

Main things I’m looking for:

* survival/resource management

* dangerous travel

* settlement-to-settlement gameplay loop

* structured progression/story

* replayability

* NOT live service

* clear beginning and ending

* combat not being central

Im mentioning here that ive played death stranding since it might come up.

Any recommendations?

Which Game next ?

Hey 🙋🏽‍♂️

After getting a new PC about a month ago and kind of messing up my reward system through gaming, I’m now looking for a new game that’s an absolute must-play. So far I’ve played Elden Ring (absolutely loved it!!!, considering a new run), The Witcher 3, Spider-Man 1 & 2, and RDR1 & 2.

What do you think—are there any other amazing games that are must-plays?

Thanks in advance!

If you were to choose between these 3 games which should I get for my Switch 1?

I’m debating between Alien Isolation, Stray, and Sub Nautica. I’ve heard good things about all 3. I just finished a play through of the story in Red Dead Redemption on my Switch and played through Assassin’s Creed 2 before that. I really enjoyed both RDR1 and AC2. Looking for a change of pace so was leaning towards Alien or Sub Nautica but please lmk your thoughts!

Elden Ring or Skyrim

I love Skyrim and I grew up with it watching my dad play although I’ve never experienced 90% of it or should I get Elden Ring, I really like hard games and fantasy and it looks pretty cool so I don’t know what to get, I don’t care about price or graphics and just want to enjoy a open world with a big community, thank you for your decision

Good RPG for a lousy gamer?

I'm sitting around pretty bored at the moment, with builders wasting my time, so looking for something to kill time with. I have a ps5 that I've hardly used. I've played a little of The Last of Us and Just Cause 4. I play a bit, but dont feel massively into them, and honestly if I have to do the same bit more then 3 or 4 times I cant be bothered playing again.

Just wondering if there's a decent RPG style game to look at? Ideally not game 15 in a series, I guess I'd prefer it to be a ps5 game rather then playing an older ps4 game, unless its really something great. I'm pretty bad at complicated controller sequences, so would prefer something not too tricky to master.

Also should I just get it on Playstation Plus? Im generally not around, so I dont mind subscribing, but it would be for a month here and there.

LEGO Batman Legacy Of Dark Knight (DELUXE EDITION)

If I get the Deluxe edition like in a month or two is it going to be cheaper since I want to get the deluxe for the DLC mayhem collection and the other benefit but I don't see the 3 days early access that much of a benefit to me since I have exams so I want to focus on that first and I know I’ll probably get distracted and play the games instead of studying. Need help

looking for video game recommendations

I haven't found any video games I like lately. I've gotten tired of playing Animal Crossing and Heartopia. I like dressing up my character and decorating/designing with items. I have a phone, a nintendo switch and a laptop with no graphic card. I like the items and clothes in Disney Dreamlight Valley but I find the task boring and like chores. I want to enjoy video games again.

RDR2 on sale: Standard or Ultimate edition

Hey guys, So RDR2 is on sale on Steam right now and I'm definitely grabbing it, but I'm kinda torn between the two versions. I'm mostly a single-player guy who loves deep, story-heavy games (big fan of Detroit: Become Human and Elden Ring), so I’m really just playing this for the main campaign. Is the extra 5 bucks for the Ultimate Edition actually worth it if I probably won't touch Red Dead Online? Do the extra outfits, horse, and that one bonus bank robbery mission actually matter, or should I just save the cash and go with Standard? Appreciate the help!

(I have bad english so this post has some parts written by AI, sorry)

SIB: Forza Horizon 6 if my reason for it is because I want a modern day Tokyo Drift game?!

I have only finished a single Horizon and that was 2 on the 360, however I've always bought them eventually because I do love them. The last 2 entries (UK and Mexico I think) that I had played, didn't really pull me in. Like many however, Japan very much is, but it's largely the night life aspect that excites me.

That said, I don't know if I've just not looked in the right places, but I don't feel like it's hitting quite the same as the fictional F&F universe I speak of in the title. Which is fine, it's obviously based in realism... But, am I just being blind and it actually is like that, or is this not the Japan offering I thought?

Thanks all!

SIB Dying light the beast or Days gone remastered?

I played a little of days gone when it first released and genuinely enjoyed my time with it but never got to really sink my teeth in. I've played both dying light 1 and 2 but felt 2 was a little too bloated and the side quests a bit of a slog, the parkour was really fun though. I'm looking for a creepy atmospheric experience with a fun and engaging gameplay loop. Thank you!

Edit: the vast majority of people have convinced me to buy days gone remastered so i am very excited to get into it and experience it fully this time! Thank you for the help!

Which RE game should I try as my first full game? I tried parts of RE 9 and I really liked it

I just played the prologue of RE Requiem and I'm wondering which RE game should I actually try as my first RE game. I really liked Grace's part like the horror elements, haven't played Leon's part yet. I'm asking this because Requiem is more expensive than the other games. I've seen recommendations for 2 or 4 but can I get details on why I should choose one over the other?

Also off topic from the RE games but should I play Exp 33 or Pragmata first?
