I’m working however! Night worker and up for a good few hours. Finish in an hour and then hitting the gym. I wish I was at home with a nice bottle of red though, very jealous if you are!

What are your weekend plans? I’m going to a pub to have a few drinks with people I’ll be going to a LARP event in a couple of weeks. I get to dress up all Viking style and sexy. Why wouldn’t I love it? I also get to drink, eat and be tech free for the weekend so I’m looking forward to that (says the guy posting on reddit, I know. The irony).

I don’t plan on getting drunk but the best laid plans…yeah I’ll probably get that bottle of wine for when I’m home and sorting my gear out because I need to make sure I’ve packed everything.

I enjoy voice chats and voice notes. I’ve got a really nice voice with a really nice accent if you’re into it, but it’s a little husky right now thanks to being a little ill.

I have a small circle of lovely family and friends that I adore. Yet I find myself yearning for connection outside of that. Just someone who isn’t intrinsically connected to me I guess. An unbiased ear when it’s needed but other than that someone who I can enjoy getting to know. A blank slate that we can fill in over time! It seems impossible to do this out in the world, like where do you even go or look for this as an adult?? Bars are loud and drunk people are annoying. Work has coworkers but not really friends. How can you have an overwhelming love for little people, because they say something incredibly cute, or hilarious and in the same breath, immense hatred because they finished their cute/hilarious shtick; by sucker punching you where they come from

recently it just hit me that I can never go back to the places from my childhood. I can never have the feelings I had as a kid being at my grandma's house. how happy I was spending summers with my cousins at her house. we all got old and had kids and it is bittersweet to think back on the great times we've had in the past. I'm 36 and only now it hit me, I think bc part of me didn't want to think about it too deeply, but now that I have my emotions finally caught up with me.

let's also discuss what we liked as kids. I'm so happy I had a simple 90s childhood. I think it was one of the last decades to not fully have the Internet. it was really the best time to be a kid imo.
