My service dog vests are designed for ME — in my years as a handler, nothing stops people from wanting to pet my dog even when I had a giant STOP DO NOT PET sign on her back.
So now I only buy vests + patches that I love and want for myself. They’re an expression of what I enjoy!! And I LOVE Fallout!!
If you see me, come say hello!!!
You can take home a red bottle cap (I have 150 caps, so I’m only giving 1-2 caps per person). They are plain red bottle caps, I wasn’t able to put Nuka Cola on them.
ASK to pet “Dogmeat” !!! Asking first grants health points, NOT asking first will increase your rads ✌️😂
I’m super excited for the event!!
Golden Retriever, Alita, will be there with me on Friday and Saturday, granted things go well and she is okay (this will be her very first large event being around people in costumes).
Poodle Mix, Hayley, will be there with me on Sunday. She’s a pro.
Haven’t grown carrots in many years, I’m excited to do it again!!!
Pictures are of Build a Bears compared to each other based on being the same species or similar! Pictures are mine (left) and from Google image search (right)
Diesel is the Grizzly Bear II from 2001, and then the other Grizzly Bear from 2021.
Bailey is the WWF Fennec Fox from 2011 and then the Fennec Fox from 2024.
Apple Cider is the St Louis Zoo Red Fox from 2012 and then the Woodland Fox from 2019.
Moondancer is the WWF Grey Wolf from 2009, and then the Wolf Pup from 2023.
Last is Zoya the WWF Amur Leopard, and the Snow Leopard from 2024.
I’ll always love Build a Bear and I do think the “new” ones are super cute and no doubt soft! But I don’t personally think they’re worth the high prices that Build a Bear charges ($45+ Canadian Dollar).
Their older designs were top notch, high quality. But nowadays in my opinion the majority of their plushies look like cheap carnival prizes, or a cheap plush you’d pick up at Walmart or Toys R Us, not something you’d pay premium price for.
I’d love to hear what you guys think of Build a Bear, “now VS then” !!
“Grizzly Bear II” released 2001, I had no idea he existed until a few days ago when I found him on Poshmark. I only paid $12 CAD plus shipping for him!
I ordered him as soon as I seen him! He shipped extremely fast, the seller shipped him April 27 and he arrived the morning of next day.
I named him Diesel, and I love him so much. I don’t know if someone modified him or if all of them have it, but all four of his paws and his bum are weighted with bean bags!
I just can’t get over how GREAT he looks, really captures of the true aesthetic of a real bear!
I have never been a fan of the actual *bears* from Build a Bear. Diesel is my first Build a Bear BEAR and will likely be the only one!
I know I’ve already said, but he’s just so perfect 🐻🐻
