How widespread is the use of cake forks now?

I'm trying to up my cake-eating game and other than eating the slice lengthways instead of sideways I was considering a cake fork. Do they actually still come with a slightly sharper edge for easy cutting or are they just smaller than normal forks?

Bravest little terrier found alive after two days suffocating in mud

Poor Krakka! This little Jack Russell wandered off during a walk and became stuck down a rabbit warren which was then partially blocked a mini-landslide. They eventually located her using a drone and then actually found her when they heard whimpers - just in time.

Are your walks very slow?

I don't know about you folks but Rex's walks are not so much a "walk", more of a stroll with stopping and sniffing every few yards. My fitness watch confirms this. The problem is that we normally tend to follow lots of other dogs so there's always lots of scents to discover. We need to find some new routes!

Hi all, I love listening to Internet radio, but found that various versions of Android would keep killing my streaming sessions, usually just when I'd started drifting off to sleep. So I wrote a quick script for Termux using whiptail as the menuing system and mpv as the actual streaming app. Right now I have about 30 feeds in my script and it's easy to add more. Whiptail should be installed by default and mpv is a quick install. Enjoy!

Rex is now approaching his "new wool" stage after his extreme haircut earlier this year. Today it was a beautiful sunny but cool day and really enjoys romping through his favourite wild buttercups and daisies. Our Council has decide to let the roadside verges go wild and it's now looking beautiful.

As Elderly Relative has found out again, Creon is still largely unavailable in the UK and the shortage notice that was due to expire in January has teen extended. The Doctor is now looking for an alternative.

The usual reasons apply but improved diagnosis of the conditions that Creon treats is also contributing to the shortage.

**Fenix 8 47mm AMOLED**

After installing 2.26 yesterday and getting a partial success I left the watch on overnight as a precaution.

This morning, I got a "software updating" message and 2.26**B** was installed - I'd enrolled in the Beta program. This was a very quick update measured in minutes.

I've been able to power the watch on and off 3 times in a row, so (for me):

  1. Hold down the power button until I get a single green OHR light flash - takes about 10 seconds - release the button.

  2. Wait about 10 more seconds and the 2 centre green OHR lights flash rapidly - note that there's still no triangle or map checking graphic.

  3. After about 30-40 seconds the face will appear 👍🎉 and the watch appears to be working normally.

So that's my experience so far: note that I personally always start my watch *off* my wrist and put it on when the face appears. I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has had a similar experience.

Applied the 21.39 update late yesterday, powered it off, went to sleep. Woke up this morning and the watch wouldn't properly turn on: the HR LEDs lit up but nothing on the screen. Tried a few more times with the same result, so factory reset it (with difficulty) and re-paired it. Even updating through Garmin Express couldn't fix

*Now* it switches on, but the blue triangle and startup contour lines don't appear. It's very disconcerting. Apparently this is a known problem on the Garmin forums and it seems that we're all waiting for a fix.

Anyone else experienced this and did you fix it?

Edit: AMOLED 47mm

Building my first self assembled Mesh node and I was under the impression I'd be able to supply power via pins 1 and 2, but I gather that this is not the case? Can you confirm this please? TIA!
