Signs of burning oil? 99 Chevy Tahoe 2WD 5.7L

What are the main signs of burning oil to look for? My Tahoe seems to be consuming way too much oil and there's none in the driveway indicating a leak, so I suspect it's burning oil. I change the oil religiously every 3,000 miles or if it looks dark, and invariably, it will be down by 2 quarts when I take it in, with the oil looking dark. It does have a misfire on cylinder 6, but the plug looked fine when my mechanic pulled it to check it.

The worst-deigned route ever

It wanted to send me all the way up this rural country road at the bottom of a canyon for three stops, then send me way around to a bunch of stops way up another road, then back to the first road for a bunch more stops, then down into the city for the last ones.

At least I looked before I got started.

Staying home from work to save money

To stop the comments, First, I'm trying to find other work. I'm applying for literally everything. Don't imply that I'm not. Second, gig work has saved my life and paid my bills for more than half a year. Third, yes, I know my vehicle is inefficient and not the right car to drive while gas prices are this high, but I'm stuck with it for now. I can't get a loan for something else and don't have enough to pay cash. With that out of the way:

I'm staying home from my Flex block today. It pays $75 for 3 hours of work. I'm staying home because I need to put gas in my truck. It'll cost close to, if not $75 to fill it up. It's not worth it. I have a block that pays more tomorrow. Today, I'm staying home, applying for jobs, and cleaning.

Fuck, I hate this.

This is fantastic! Don't care one bit if it's not traditionally Mediterranean, it's delicious and low cal, and I can have it on my T2 diet.

1 cup Greek yogurt, plain

1 cup fresh parsley

1 cup leafy fresh herbs of your choice (mint, cilantro, dill, tarragon, etc.)

1 garlic clove

2 tablespoons chives, chopped

1 tablespoon evoo

Splash red wine vinegar

Zest and juice of one lemon

Sea salt to taste

Black pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients in a food processor and pulse until smooth. That's it. I used nonfat yogurt, mint, cilantro, and a little dill and tarragon, as that's what I had on hand.

Makes about 2 cups of dressing. Works out to about 24 calories per 2 tablespoon serving.

This is my new go-to dressing and dip. I'm putting it on everything!

No real recipe for this one, just stuff that needed to be used thrown together, lol.

4oz ground turkey

.5 cup frozen edamame, shelled

1 cup chopped bell peppers, or veggies of your choice

1 small Avocado, diced

Tatziki sauce or other dressing

Brown the turkey in a skillet, season with salt and garlic, then add the frozen soybeans and cook until thawed. Combine with veggies in bowl and top with Avocado and sauce. Enjoy!

Super yummy!

.5 can chickpeas

4oz ground turkey

.25 cup sliced red onion

.25 red bell pepper, diced

Homemade tatziki sauce

2 tablespoons sliced kalamata olives

Feta cheese

2 tsp evoo

Garlic to taste

Saute the turkey in a skillet with the garlic. While the turkey cooks, make the tatziki sauce. Shred. 5 cucumber and drain on paper towels to remove excess water. Combine in bowl with .5 cup nonfat greek yogurt, plain. Add a splash of red wine vinegar, salt, pepper, and dill. Stir to combine.

Assemble bowl: add drained chickpeas, cooked turkey, veggies and olives to bowl. Top with tatziki sauce and feta.

My AC had been acting up for a while. Someone told me not to run it as it could ruin the engine, so I've been suffering in the summer heat. It's loud and you can hear a thunking noise from inside the cab. I have a little money on hand, so I want to get it diagnosed. Can anyone tell me from this video what the problem could be? Hopefully not the condenser.

Oh boy, this was good! Probably too much cheese, but it was worth it.

6 eggs, large

.5 cup 2% milk

1 cup shredded cheese

1 cup chard

.5 med orange bell pepper

.5 med red bell pepper

.5 yellow onion

2 tablespoons evoo

Garlic to taste

Sea salt to taste

Black pepper to taste

Whisk the eggs, milk, salt and pepper until smooth. Saute the onion and garlic in the olive oil until translucent in a 12 inch cast iron skillet. Add the chopped bell peppers and cook until soft. Add the chard and cook until the water evaporates. Add .5 cup shredded cheese. Add the egg mixture to the skillet. Top with remaining cheese. Transfer to oven and bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes. Cut into six slices.

191 cal per slice, I ate two.

Substitute any veggies as desired and any type of shredded cheese. I used Mexican blend because that's what I had. Would be great with spinach, mushrooms and feta.

I'm at a loss here. My MC isn't a good person. He's done bad shit up to and including adultery and murder. His wife leaves him at the end of book one, but I need her to take him back at the end of book two for plot reasons. However, I don't want it to feel like this happens for the plot, I want it to be organic.

She's a strong woman, fully capable of caring for herself (not in a Strong, Independent Female way, it's a quiet, inner strength). She wants a family and children.

He's an unabashed adulterer, completely unaware of consequences, drinks too much, lives to annoy people, and by the end of book two, a murderer, which she is aware of. He also wants a family and children.

They were married for a long time before they split, and never officially divorced. She was definitely his better half and tried to keep him out of trouble when they were together.

So, why does she take him back? It happens when he's at his very lowest, pure rock bottom. He's broken and pathetic at this point. Is it pure pity, or is there a deeper reason that I'm not seeing yet?

Any thought would be greatly appreciated.

That was also my first sit ever. I've done drop ins before, but this booking was my first overnight sit.

And it went so well! The meet and greet went great and I had a good feeling about it, so I took the booking.

The dogs were great. A staffie and a boxer puppy. Both super sweet and well-trained. The puppy had once accident in the house on the first night, and none after. We bonded and the dogs slept in the bed with me (something I love).

The people were nice and didn't micromanage. The house was very nice and clean.

To be completely honest, a big factor in taking an 11 night sit as my first overnight booking was the pay. It was well worth it, and boy did I need it. I took a chance, and it was a wonderful experience.

Do any sitters have tips on how to get more bookings like this? Even just one or two night sits would be great so I can build my client base.

I am. Never been in a relationship, never had sex, never even been kissed romantically.

And I couldn't be happier about it. No drama, no STDs, no one in my life to answer to but myself.

I do live with a roommate, but she keeps to herself as much as I do, so it's great.

My life is me, my three cats, my tarantulas, and my jumping spiders. I love it!

I promise this is for a book, lol.

I need to poison a character with mistletoe (Viscum album) and I need to know the effects, especially if it gets into a wound. Wikipedia gave me some info. Apparently it causes tissue death, but I need the actual symptoms, how long it takes, and how much it takes to kill a large man. And if it getting in a small wound can cause death. If anyone knows anything about this, I'd greatly appreciate the info.
