Aside from the loose stitch, not a bad band and it’s actually very comfy. Obviously the Chrono dials and buttons are purely decorative. Everything is basically painted on or cut using a pair of dull pliers and of course the dial is off. Aside from that, it’s not horrible, but the gauntlet for lowest price has been thrown. Oh, and I misspoke, it’s $2.57.
I’ve had this F1 since new (1990? Can’t recall exactly but around then - I remember someone freaking out about the fact that it “omg has unidirectional bezel!” 🙄)… a pin had fallen from the clasp and the batteries had long died and thus it has sat for years. Replacing the pin wasn’t as easy as I’d thought (the first spring pin I tried io get in there is still flying away to this very day) and acrewing in that teeny-tiny screw that holds the clamp for the two batteries a pain. But she works now and I’m enjoying it again as part of my rotation!
I enjoy checking out the listings on chrono24 and I'll bite if there's a reputable seller and a good deal, but generally, I use it to help track my collection and its value.
However, it's frustrating to see so many watches that I've added to my collection say "Estimated value not available yet" even though I see identical ones for sale on chrono24. Is there a trick to adding a watch that may not be a common one in order to get the value tracker working?
Thanks!
