This dash cam arrived today and before I even think about using it I’m concerned by the fact their packaging doesn’t have proper spelling on it.
Add to that on the back they have placed a sticky label with a hotmail address for support over whatever information is behind it.
Not feeling a lot of confidence if I’m asked to install an app on my phone to set it up. This one might go right into the donation pile.
Is there anything worse than the fourth and final point in an empty RFY?
Errored out on me earlier this morning. First decent thing I've seen in awhile (had a Bose bluetooth speaker last night that I also missed but I already have several so I wasn't so salty about that).

I hit Gold beginning of February, and the number of things I have ordered have dropped drastically due to the poor quality of what is around by the time I get to look at Vine.

I apparently I have just forgotten with life stuff to do any reviews in like 2 months and finally found myself in Vine Jail. I did up like 15 reviews tonight so hopefully that will put me back up over 60%. I can pump out some of the rest this weekend.
All apparently because I actually had 5 Items of interest over 24 hours... Apparently I ordered like 6 items in the 6 weeks previous. (down from my high last fall of 2 items a day on average)
Anyone else been in Jail before? How long does it take to get out of it? The threshold is 60% yes?
It's always about 24 hours after something is delivered that it shows up on my awaiting reviews, but it's been a couple days and nothing has popped up that should have. Anyone else?
In AI, opened to see if these were got kids and see two reviews with definitely AI looking photos lol. Not even verified purchases and both on the same day! Sometimes vine items come up and have obviously fake (non vine) reviews, instantly makes me nope the item.
I was very surprised to see no one mentioned this, which means I probably snagged it extremely quickly completely by fluke.
Been a vine member for just under a year. Got gold after my first evaluation and generally been pretty stoked (considering I had never even heard of vine when I got invited and thought it was a scam). I’ve nabbed lots of great little practical items we would be buying anyways as well as a lot of things I probably wouldn’t be able to justify the cost on but would definitely be nice to have (also gotten some complete and utter 1 star junk). Also gotten a lot of ready useful photo and video equipment (no big cameras or anything- mostly just rigging stuff, a couple little lights, extra batteries, etc)
My evaluation is coming up and so I popped on my phone to check my status as I know I’m close to the 90% (91%, actually). Popped onto the RFY page and saw nothing too interesting- a camera top handle caught my eye so I thought I’d look at the product page. I have others I like more and I don’t need more clutter so I went back…and there it was.
At first I thought it was one of those photo frame things but I clicked it anyways. And holy crap: a 65 inch tv! I’ve been so close to pulling the trigger on one for like 2-3 years. My current tv is from 2010, but still worked okay. If I was goi bf to upgrade it would be with a proper TV not a cheap one.
It had a bunch of options, I didn’t even look at them, I just tried to get through to the request page as fast as I could. I finally did… wheel was spinning, and then… “you need to update your payment method”. OH NO! weirdly enough my CC on file was valid, I just needed to select it again. With shaking hands I tried to get through the process as fast as I could. And then we see the glorious confirmation page. It actually went through.
I wasn’t about to celebrate though. I was on edge until I saw that out for delivery on the tracker. Even then, I wasn’t going to relax until it was in my door. Yesterday afternoon it showed up. It was real. Thanks daddy Bezos!
To answer some questions that might come up:
- this is my first “BIG ticket” item, though in the last month I’ve gotten a couple items that were valued at $600-$800
- this was at 11:39pm (EDT) on Tuesday night
- I do not use extensions or anything and I don’t sit there and refresh. In fact I do almost all my Vine-ing on my phone
- the first thing I watched on it was the Bezos song by Bo Burnham

Up early this morning (just before 7am MST) and saw a handful of pages with new items! First time in forever I've seen that. Nothing all that good left though.
Little strange that we’re getting Fourth of July decorations on Canadian vine, no? Lol respectfully, no thank you. Do they do this every summer?
Just hope it's actually good. I've been saying for at least 3 years i need a dash cam lol. I have q baby camera monitor in the car (thanks vine!) So hopefully it all fits and works okay together.

I’m new to vine just had a few quick questions
If I cancel a vine order before it ships do I need cs to remove it from my list ?
If I manage to hit gold do I need to have the 80 minimum items ever evaluated period to keep gold ?
How long does it take before I can review my first items I know I have 30 days but the awaiting review didn’t change once delivered (I’m no to worried as I’m still testing but just wondering if it’s timed or if I have to do something )

EDIT: When I say abuse I didn't mean I was slapping someone in the face with he device during my review, I meant in terms of abuse of the Community Guidelines for reviewers
I'll also add that, if I look at the merchant history I can see that a verified buyer also did a review stating the same thing I did and Amazon has stricken it as the record as a fulfillment issue. I would guess that this seller is saying that ppl received the "wrong item" accidentally. If I look into their review history as a whole, most < 4 star reviews are crossed-off as fulfillment errors .... not sure why Amazon can't notice the pattern ... this seller is obviously blocking negative reviews (and is successful at it)

So I had a review for a game console. It claimed to be an R36S but what you get is an R36SX in an R36S box
The "X" on the end isn't to signal it as an upgrade ... it is just minimal effort to not blatantly lie.
The X "variant" has half the RAM, a locked down OS, not L3/R3 buttons, no network support, and a slower processor. I took photos comparing the motherboard of a legit R36S I own and this fake product to show that the hardware is, in fact, not as expected.
This is 100% bait and switch.
I gave the product 1 star and listed the differences between this product and what you would expect an R36S to have. It passed the initial review scanner through Vine. Up for about a day, then mysteriously removed.
I noticed other vine reviewers mentioned this is a fake/clone ... but quizzically they still gave it a 4/5
I have emailed Vine customer support to have them look into this - I definitely am not going to submit another review.
I suppose this is somewhat of a rant of how broken the system is and how I cannot properly warn buyers that the thing they are buying is not what they likely expect it to be.

But I did successfully see this pop up on the vine and it was just delivered yesterday.
I’m beyond excited to try this out. This is the highest priced item I’ve ever received in the last year that I’ve been an Amazon Vine member.
It retails for over $2000 on amazon currently.
It was completed unexpected as well. I had just refreshed my vine page and saw this pop up. I ordered it within seconds.
