On Uncle Straps Snakeskin bracelet
Shopping at Macy’s and looking for a brand I did not yet own. After spotting this watch and doing a little research it was an easy purchase. Marine Star series B in 41 mm. Changed out the original strap with a Strapco.
It’s white Wednesday, so this is the obvious choice today for me today. Please let me know what you think and share any other watches that are white or that you’re wearing today.
Trying to build up the two toned watches in my collection. When I saw this on eBay I HAD to grab it!
One of the links had the pin pop out of one side as you can see but whatever, ill need to remove a link anyway lol. Nice little beater to wear around for $7! Also pretty sure its a ladies watch but whos counting, i like the look😂
This was one of my first watches, and my first dress watch. I bought it as a part of my frantic naive “oh I like watches now, must buy all watches!” phase. Many of those first watches I’d bought then I wouldn’t buy today, however the Sutton still feels like a great watch. Perhaps this is because I enjoy the open heart, though I know that isn’t for everyone. I also think the finishing on the dial (or face since? Since it’s a tank?) is pleasant, and for a stock band it too is very nice. My only critique about this watch would be that I now wish it would’ve been just slightly smaller, but this is preference.
Of course, if I owned a Cartier Tank or a JLC Reverso, then I would never reach for the Sutton. But this can be said about any watch. Considering this watch is still in circulation, I feel that it must be underrated with how little I see it. Thoughts?
Messing around with some different strap options for the new LP. Looks amazing on the navy and maroon checkered pattern from Strapsuits. Might be my favorite.
Hi All, I want to get this watch restored and in good working order. As far as I can tell, it’s not especially rare or sought-after, but it was my wife’s grandfather’s watch, so it has a lot of sentimental value.
I recently shipped it to a repair center that specializes in vintage Bulova/Accutron and they quoted $2,795 to fully restore it, which is more than I can afford. Is this what I should have expected? Or are there other options in the 3-digit range that will get this watch ticking again?
Thanks in advance
Loving the smooth seconds hand. Can’t afford a Grand Seiko but then discovered this instead. Came with a worn out original band and buckle so I replaced it with a new lizard pattern strap.
Absolutely adore the iconic hum as well. Can’t help but put the watch next to my ear any opportunity I get.
