Some pics from my cozy loft (total WIP!)

There’s still a ton of room to grow and so so much unpacking and organization that needs to happen, but I’m so happy with my space so far! I’m 24 and just bought myself first home. Did a lot of hunting around to find the right furniture and decorations and I could not be more proud of myself :)

Pics are my living room, dining area, kitchen, and current guest room setup (that I’m sleeping in until I can get a bigger bed for the master bedroom!)

My favorite creation

Behold! My little snail friend Marvin. I made him in middle school and he’s been with me all over the place. He’s a discontinued Wee Wonderfuls pattern made of felt and a yard of quilting cotton and two itty bitty buttons, wearing a hand knitted scarf of my own creation. He’s so little. He’s been supervising me as I’ve been moving into my new house!

New self drafted hat for my amazing new grad sister!

Not at ALL her college colors. But she deserves only the best. Handmade 1x1 rib handspun hand dyed alpaca on size 8s circulars.

New house, of course, had to get the tea cabinet set up first!

My whole tea collection! First sip in the new place was the osmanthus oolong from Seven Teahouse! Bottom shelf is my daily drinkers, middle is guest favorites, and top is my oddballs, aging tea cakes, and samples. Counter has some display cases.

I did it! Columbus - $299k - 6%

My first home, at 24! I’m so proud, and it still doesn’t feel real. Seeing what I’ve worked for since I was 14 come to fruition is absolutely wild to me. Thanks to my amazing real estate agent and everyone else who’s helped along the way. Couldn’t have done it without you guys. My dream brick loft is so beautiful and so empty right now, but I have big plans!

Edit: oh my goodness, thank you all for the congratulations messages and support. I’m tearing up that so many people are so excited with me! My little cat and I send our regards to all of you. Good luck all with your own homebuying, you guys got this!!
