Hi, so i am working on a book that is in the year 5077 on a planet of acid gas/rain in a post apocalypse (inspired by my favorite band starset) it’s very sci-fi scientific with elements of quantum matter

But once the book is completed is it worth it to self publish?

What would be a great option for self publishing?

I only have a basic idea in terms of the plot and for characters I have Evie, Jeckll, Hyde, Finn, Lucy and Ruby. Evie is a little inspired by Imogen from the book series fourth wing Evie is a aspiring content creator who is finn's romantic interest Finn is a Atmospheric Chemist and Ruby is a Environmental Scientist and musician as well as Finn, Evie, Lucy and Ruby.

The Premise of the story is set in 5077 in the aftermath of a virus passed by acid gas particles in the air that slows aging dramatically only aging 1 year in every 111 years

Should I expand on this idea or no?

I'm open to any and all ideas and suggestions
