My mom sometime in the early 70’s
Still a diva in her 70’s ♥️
Anyone have these?
I’m currently obsessed with these but my
Issue is that I have the big buckle Madrid and they tear the top of my foot up. If you own these, are these comfortable?
I grew up as a chubby kid. I was insanely insecure from as long as I can remember. I grew into an over weight teen and by my early 20’s I was over 250lbs. I was 344lbs on my wedding day and even on the one day you are meant to, I never felt beautiful. My marriage didn’t last, it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either. Ending it was hard but something in me changed. I started putting myself first. I lost 170lbs through eliminating processed carbs and sugar and exercise. Total transparency, I have been using Mounjaro for the last 8 months to help maintain my weight while dealing with peri menopause. The weight loss has helped my confidence but it’s only part of my story. I have since moved across the world and started from scratch. I learned a new language (that one is an on going struggle but I make an effort everyday) began a new career, met wonderful new friends and created a beautiful new life in a foreign land. I feel like I can do anything and that’s something my 25 year old self could never imagine 🩷
I have been struggling with androgenic alopecia for about 6 years now. I recently started taking 2.5mg oral minoxidil. I’ve been on it for about a month and omg the shedding is so much more than I expected. Please tell me it will end soon. I already wear hair toppers and the occasional wig so really it’s not the end of the world but emotionally I’m going through it all over again. Any advice, kind words, a hug 😭
So my Longchamp was getting worn in the corners. I know Longchamp will repair them but it makes the bag smaller so I thought I would get crafty and try and DYI a solution. I bought a kit on Etsy that sells these little leather caps you can sew on. Now I can’t sew to save my life so I took it to a leather repair shop. I had a nice chat with the lady. Showed her a few reference photos and even a video. I left the bag and patches in good confidence that she understood the assignment. I went and picked it up today and this is what was done. Not only stitched but glued 😑
*Update for those asking. I spoke with the woman yesterday. She had put it aside to work on herself but didn’t actually do the sewing. The young man who checked me out had seen it in the “to do” pile and with zero instructions just winged it. When I picked it he must have realized he messed up because he acted like he didn’t know anything about it. She was very kind and apologetic. She offered to redo the corners at no cost. The bag is old and while it’s not the look I was going for it’s still useable. I think I’ll just let it die a natural death. Thanks everyone for having a giggle with me 🩷

My grandparents met on a blind date at the Toronto exhibition in 1948. It’s my absolute fave picture. They were married in 1950, had my dad in 1952 and were married for 60+ years.
