Which are the best charity shops in Bedfordshire?
Happy to travel anywhere, I just love a charity shop! 😊

Anyone else have the white noise and red light machine, and feel like the noise options are too loud or too quiet? 🥲
I’ve been working on some upcycled pieces to sell. I haven’t labelled any of them with my brand name yet, what suggestions do you have - as sustainable as possible please? Getting some printed in a small batch to sew in, buying a stamp and hand printing them myself on scrap fabric to sew in, any other ideas? Thank you 🌸💗

I love being able to visit lots of decent charity shops at once!
The app I’ve been using most lately to earn my beer money is called Social Tip.
You just post online about a brand tagging them and Social Tip, and you get paid for it!
Up to £20 per post on average, brands including M&S, Starbucks, EE, Octopus Energy, Quorn, Iceland etc!
No con, I’ve made a decent amount using this app - you just have to keep your receipt from when you bought the product, but there are so many brands on there I’m sure you’ll use at least some of them!
Sometimes I literally post a quick story snapping a pic and earn £8!
If you’d like to sign up, you can use my referral code TY5SRJ for a new member bonus, or click on the referral link here!
The non-referral link is here.
Let me know if you have any questions and happy earning :)
I try and go as slowly as I can but still struggle to get a neat small circle or curve, any suggestions? Maybe I need a better sewing machine with speed controls!
Edit: I’ve added a photo of what I’m working on in the comments - the wadding inside probably isn’t helping!
A random question about it too - can you control the speed to make it go slow for tiny curves? Sometimes I try and sew letters with my current machine and really struggle with the tight curves of the letter S!
I wanted a bag to take charity shopping and couldn’t find one, so I created one! 😂♻️💚
I’m just getting back into sewing and want to give myself some easy but fun projects to try out first :)
I’m currently setting up a small business giving secondhand fabrics a new life - clothes, accessories etc. I plan to sell on Etsy and at in-person markets. Apart from obvious material and tools costs, what else will I need to think about? Some examples such as below:
Public liability insurance
A card machine
My own website cost someday
Business cards
Thank you in advance :)
