So my coworker waltzed into the office on Thursday looking annoyingly well rested and mentioned she'd spent the weekend in Miami. I assumed she'd found a good deal on Ryanair like a normal person. She had not. She'd flown private. For less than I paid for my last easyJet seat which was basically a middle seat next to a guy eating a warm pasty.

Apparently it was something called an empty leg or deadhead flight private jet that needs to reposition somewhere and sells the seats off cheap rather than fly empty. She was very casual about it which made it worse.

I've been searching about this for a few hours now trying to figure out if this is actually a thing normal people can do or if it's one of those "technically possible but practically you need to know a guy who knows a guy" situations.

Finally tried an empty leg flight after years of being curious, here's what actually happened

So I've been loosely following the whole empty leg thing for maybe two years, mostly just bookmarking stuff and never actually pulling the trigger. A work trip lined up in a way where the timing made sense financially, so I just... did it. The part I wasn't expecting was how quiet the terminal was not a lounge, just a small room with a few chairs and a guy who handed me a water bottle like we were about to carpool somewhere. The flight itself was fine, maybe even great, but the thing that stuck with me was how normal it felt after the first five minutes, which sounds obvious but I think I'd built it up into something more theatrical in my head. Curious if anyone else found the booking process stressful

I second-guessed the legitimacy of the platform I used the whole way up until boarding, and would genuinely love to know which operators or apps people here have had solid experiences with.

ok so i finally got the courage to start going to consultations and honestly feeling a bit deflated after the first couple.

ive lost a significant amount of weight over the last few years and kept it off which im really proud of but i have loose skin around my stomach that exercise just isnt going to fix. ive known for a while that a tummy tuck is probably the next step.

both consultations ive had so far have come back at 22k to 28k and it has kind of knocked my confidence a bit. i dont want to go cheap and end up with a bad result but i also dont want to feel like im being taken advantage of just because im in LA.

im based in the South Bay area so anywhere in LA or nearby works for me. not able to travel out of state for something like this as I have two kids that need to be pandered too

has anyone in LA had a tummy tuck done locally and felt like they got good value without compromising on quality? how did you find your surgeon? would love to actually see some real results from people in the area!

ok so ive been going back and forth on this for months and i think im finally ready to actually do something about it.

im not looking for a dramatic transformation, more just want everything pulled together and smoothed out if that makes sense. ive been looking at lipo 360 because i want the stomach, sides and back done rather than just one area.

ive seen some amazing results from clinics abroad but honestly the idea of flying somewhere and recovering away from home stresses me out more than the actual procedure lol. id rather just do it locally and be in my own bed afterwards. im in the South Bay so anywhere in LA or nearby would work. has anyone had lipo 360 done locally and been happy with it? how did you find your surgeon?

ok so a bit of a personal one but here goes.

ive been thinking about getting some work done for a while now but every time i start looking into it i end up on pages for clinics in Beverly Hills and honestly it just feels so out of reach. the prices, the drive, all of it.

a friend mentioned there might actually be decent plastic surgery options right here in Torrance or the South Bay but i havent been able to find much when i search. maybe im just not looking in the right places.

does anyone have any experience with plastic surgery locally? like is there actually anything good down here or is Beverly Hills really the only option worth considering?

would love to hear from anyone who has actually been through it in the area, good or bad experiences, just trying to get a realistic picture before i start going to consultations!

A bit embarasing to post but here goes.

ive had a double chin basically my whole adult life. im not overweight, i eat well, i work out, its just genetics i think. my mum has the same thing. no matter how much weight i lose my jawline just stays the same and its been messing with my confidence for years honestly

ive been looking into chin liposuction for a while now but every time i start researching it i get overwhelmed. half the places i find are these huge clinics in Beverly Hills that feel totally out of reach pricewise and the other half look sketchy. i dont even know how to tell the difference between a good surgeon and a bad one which freaks me out.

a friend mentioned theres actually some decent options outside of the main LA bubble, like in the South Bay area, since this evening i havent been able to find much info.

has anyone here actually done chin lipo in LA or nearby? was it worth it? how did you find someone you could actually trust? did the recovery mess up your work schedule much?

Okay so a bit of a personal one but here goes

I've always been pretty active, I run, I go to the gym, I try to eat well. But no matter what I do there are certain areas that just wont budge. My stomach especially. I've had two kids and honestly diet and excercise only go so far.

I'm not looking for a magic fix, I know its not that. But I've been seriously thinking about liposuction for like two years now and I keep talking myself out of it. Part of it is the cost, part of it is the fear, but honestly a big part is just the hassle of it all. Every time I look into it the places are in Beverly Hills or Santa Monica and the idea of driving out there for multiple appointments with two kids is just a lot.

A friend mentioned there might actually be decent options closer to home in the South Bay and now im down a rabbit hole since 11pm googling everything lol.

Has anyone here actually done this locally? What was your experience like? Did it feel as legit as going to one of the big LA clinics? Would love to hear real stories, the good the bad the recovery all of it.

Feel a bit weird posting this but figured if anyone would know its people here!
